D E C L A R A C I O N E S
I. Declara la PRESTADORA por conducto de su representante legal, que:
a) Es una sociedad mercantil constituida de acuerdo con las leyes de los Estados Unidos Mexicanos, según consta en la escritura pública número 38075, de fecha 09 de septiembre de 1996, otorgada anta la fe del Lic. b) Cuenta con el personal, los elementos y experiencia necesarios para prestar servicios técnicos, administrativos, de contabilidad, de mercadotecnia, de programación, cobranzas y de consultaría a terceras personas, en los términos del presente contrato.
c) Es su voluntad prestar a [456] los servicios objeto de este contrato, conforme a los términos y condiciones que más adelante se indican.
Que su representante cuenta con la capacidad legal suficiente para celebrar este contrato de prestación de servicios, según consta en la escritura publica que hace referencia el inciso a) anteriormente mencionado, y que dichas facultades no le han sido revocadas ni modificadas en forma alguna a la firma del presente contrato.
II. Declara “[456]” por conducto de su representante legal, que:
a) Es una corporación debidamente constituida de acuerdo con las leyes del Estado de Delaware, Estados Unidos de América.
b) Se dedica, entre otras cosas, a la promoción de ventas publicitarias para la televisión por cable transmitida a los Estados Unidos Mexicanos y el resto de Latinoamérica, así como a la facturación y cobranza de dichas ventas.
c) Desea contratar los servicios, objeto del presente contrato, que la PRESTADORA ha declarado estar en posibilidad de prestar.
d) Su representante cuenta con capacidad legal suficiente para celebrar este contrato y que dichas facultades no le han sido revocadas ni modificadas en forma alguna a la firma del presente contrato.
III. Declaran las partes, por conducto de sus representantes legales, que:
Se reconocen mutuamente la capacidad y personalidad con que comparecen a celebrar el presente contrato y manifiestan expresamente su consentimiento para obligarse al tenor de las siguientes:
C L Á U S U L A S
OBJETO DEL CONTRATO
PRIMERA.- La PRESTADORA se obliga a prestar a favor de [456] los servicios que se acuerdan expresamente por las partes, mismos que se detallan a continuación (en lo sucesivo los “Servicios”):
a) Promoción y solicitación de ventas publicitarias para transmisión en una o mas señales de [123], incluyendo la señal de los Estados Unidos Mexicanos, en el entendido de que bajo ningún concepto ni circunstancia podrá la PRESTADORA y su personal negociar ni concluir contratos de publicidad con clientes potenciales;
b) Distribución de información sobre la programación y otros aspectos de [123] a anunciantes potenciales y agencias de medios en los Estados Unidos Mexicanos;
c) Coordinación de eventos en los Estados Unidos Mexicanos para facilitar la promoción de [123];
d) Asistencia ocasional con la recogida de los pagos de clientes; y
Funciones administrativas, de contabilidad y de oficina, auxiliares a los servicios con los que actualmente cuenta [456], según éste los requiera.
[456] determinará en todo momento las directrices y políticas generales que deberán de seguirse por parte de la PRESTADORA para la prestación de los Servicios objeto del presente contrato.
Consecuentemente, la PRESTADORA no podrá encargar a terceros la prestación de dichos Servicios sin la aprobación previa y por escrito de [456] sin que esto pudiera interpretarse en manera alguna como una liberación de las responsabilidades de la PRESTADORA establecidas en el presente contrato.
Ambas partes convienen de que en el supuesto de que la PRESTADORA solicite el otorgamiento ya sea de poderes especiales o generales a favor de las personas que esta designe, [456] los otorgará a su mas entera discreción, sin que ello implique relación diversa a la comercial establecida en el presente contrato, en el entendido de que [456] podrá revocarlos o limitarlos en cualquier momento.
SERVICIOS ADICIONALES
SEGUNDA.- En caso de que [456] solicite a la PRESTADORA la prestación de servicios adicionales a los contemplados en la cláusula primera del presente contrato, deberá solicitarlo por escrito a la PRESTADORA a efecto de que ésta conjuntamente con [456] acuerde por escrito, firmado por ambas partes, los nuevos términos y condiciones que habrán de regir la prestación de los servicios adicionales.
PERSONAL
TERCERA.- La PRESTADORA se obliga a contratar a solicitud de [456] todo el personal que sea necesario y requerido para que los Servicios del presente contrato sean prestados en la forma más eficiente y precisa posible. En caso que el personal contratado no cuente con los conocimientos y la experiencia necesaria para la prestación de los Servicios, [456] informará a la PRESTADORA para acordar las medidas necesarias.
[456] tendrá el derecho de revisar y vigilar, en cualquier tiempo durante la vigencia del presente contrato, que el personal que sea empleado por la PRESTADORA en la prestación de los Servicios, cumpla con la experiencia y conocimientos técnicos necesarios para desempeñar las actividades que se les encomiende.

II. Through its legal representative [456] does state that:
a) It is a corporation duly incorporated in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, the United States of America.
b) Its purpose, among others, is the promotion of advertising sales for cable television transmitted to the United Mexican States and the rest of Latin America, as well as the invoicing and collection of said sales.
c) It wishes to engage the services, outlined in the present agreement, which the PROVIDER has stated it can provide.
d) Its representative is legally empowered to enter into this agreement of provision of services, and these powers have not been revoked or modified in any way as of the date the present contract is subscribed.
III. Through their respective legal representatives, both parties do hereby state that:
They mutually recognize the legal capacity of their representatives to enter into the present agreement, and expressly manifest their consent to be legally bound by the following:
CLAUSES
PURPOSE OF CONTRACT
FIRST. - The PROVIDER is hereby bound to provide in favor of [456] the services that are expressly agreed upon by the parties, as detailed below (hereinafter the “Services”):
a) The promotion and pursuit of advertising sales for transmission over one or more signals of [123], including the signal of the United Mexican States, with the understanding that under no event or circumstances shall the PROVIDER or its personnel negotiate or enter into advertising agreements with potential clients;
b) Distribution of information on the programming and other aspects of [123] to potential advertisers or media agencies in the United Mexican States;
c) Coordination of events in the United Mexican States to facilitate the promotion of [123];
d) Occasional assistance with the collection of payments from clients; and
Administrative, accounting and general office duties, as needed, which support the scope of services rendered by existing [456] personnel.
[456] shall determine at all times the guidelines and general policies to be followed by the PROVIDER for the provision of services under the present agreement.
Consequently, the PROVIDER shall not assign to third parties the provision of said Services without the prior and written approval of [456], and this shall not in any way be interpreted as a waiver of the responsibilities of the PROVIDER as established in this agreement.
Both parties agree that in the event that the PROVIDER shall request special or general powers in favor of any persons of its choosing, [456] shall grant them at its entire discretion, and this shall not imply a variance of the business relationship established in this agreement, and [456] shall retain the right to revoke or limit these powers at any time.
ADDITIONAL SERVICES
SECOND. – In the event that [456] requests of the PROVIDER the provision of services additional to those stipulated in the first clause of this agreement, it shall do so in writing to the PROVIDER so that the PROVIDER and [456] may enter into an agreement in writing, subscribed to by both parties, detailing the new services and conditions that will govern the provision of the additional services.
PERSONNEL
THIRD. – The PROVIDER is hereby bound to hire, at the request of [456], all personnel deemed necessary and required to provide the Services detailed in this agreement in the most efficient and precise manner possible. In the event that the hired personnel do not have the training or experience necessary to render the Services, [456] shall inform the PROVIDER so as to agree on the necessary measures.
[456] shall retain the right to review and ensure, at any time while this agreement is in force, that the personnel retained by the PROVIDER to provide the Services have the necessary experience and technical training to carry out the activities they are hired to perform.

Con un nutrido caudal de laureles literarios, un nuevo libro, Maridos, recién publicado, y su primera novela convertida en filme, Ángeles Mastretta reclama su lugar en la cima del mundo literario. Desde su casa en Ciudad de México, la autora conversa con AARP Segunda Juventud y revela sus obsesiones.
AARP Segunda Juventud: Las mujeres en estos cuentos son fuertes, independientes, decisivas, sin embargo usted presenta sus vidas en torno al marido. ¿Por qué?
Ángeles Mastretta: Bueno, esa es una de mis muy peculiares obsesiones, como cualquier otra. Yo creo que hay una parte importante de todo ser humano que se define en función de quién es su pareja, cómo la elige, y cómo se comporta frente a ella. Y esa parte me interesa a mí. La parte de cómo se forja esa parte de la personalidad me fascina, no sólo me interesa. Me da curiosidad, me intriga… y a veces me lastima y me alegra. De todas esas emociones está hecho el libro.
ASJ: ¿Para quién escribe estos cuentos?
AM: Fíjate, mira. Hay mucha gente que dice, yo escribo para mí. Yo creo que quien escribe y publica, pues escribe para lectores, no nada más para sí, porque si nada más escribes para ti, no tienes para qué publicar. Entonces yo escribo para contarme una historia, para oírla, para imaginármela, para saber de qué se trata, porque la mayor parte, muchas de las historias estas que yo escribo, empiezan y no sé cómo van a acabar.
Muchos escritores dicen que escriben para que los quieran, yo estoy entre esos escritores. Yo sí escribo para que me quieran, hablo para que me quieran. Hago mi trabajo para que me quieran, convivo con los otros para que me quieran, y para quererlos. Para mí es muy importante, y muchas de mis relaciones, o todas, están cifradas en eso.
ASJ: En sus historias, usted presenta a las mujeres como pájaros, golondrinas, palomas, gorriones.
AM: Uno equipara mucho a la libertad con los pájaros, sin lugar a dudas. Yo lo hago deliberado, ¿eh?
ASJ: Y el uso de los colores: “Era una tarde naranja”…
AM: ¡Ay! Mira, no sabes cómo he peleado con eso en mi cabeza. No tienes una idea. Te voy a hacer una confesión muy íntima. Porque: “Una tarde naranja, Julia Corzas le abrió la puerta a su tercer marido”. Bueno. Ahí hay todo tipo de impedimentos. Desde que a lo mejor lo que había que decir era “anaranjada” porque “naranja” es medio raro, normalmente se dice que es “anaranjada”. Luego…
ASJ: Pero no suena igual.
AM: ¡No suena igual! Entonces tiene que ser “una tarde naranja”. Luego, el personaje se llama Julia Corzas. Entonces, “naranja-ju”; bueno, entonces decía, “ja-ju” está fatal, pero hay una coma en medio. Sobre todo yo no le pienso quitar a este personaje el nombre de Julia. Entonces, más vale que lo de la tarde, le quite yo el naranja. Entonces, “Una tarde, Julia Corzas…” Dije, ah, no, no. ¿Nada más “una tarde”? No. Entonces arrancas con una tarde morada, una tarde azul, una tarde… y de repente, ¡una tarde naranja!
ASJ: No, ¡le quedó perfecto! Porque los colores evocan cierto…
AM: Yo sí quería que la tarde se viera. O sea, que se viera afuera la hora de la puesta del sol. No las cuatro de la tarde, sino las seis. Y tú no puedes decir “una tarde a las seis” – ¡Horrible! Entonces, si la tarde es naranja, son como las seis.

Crowned with some of the world’s most renowned literary prizes, and with her first novel being taken to the silver screen, Ángeles Mastretta reaffirms her place as the reigning queen of Mexican literature with a new short story collection, Maridos. From her home in Mexico City, the author opens up with AARP Segunda Juventud, and reveals her obsessions.
AARP Segunda Juventud: The women in Maridos are strong and independent, yet you present them in terms of their relationships with the men in their lives. Why?
Ángeles Mastretta: Well, that is one of my very particular obsessions, just like any other. I believe that there is an important part of every human being that is defined in terms of their significant other: how we choose our partner, and how we behave within that relationship. And that is the part that interests me. How that part of the personality is forged not just interests me, it fascinates me. I am curious about it, intrigued… It also sometimes hurts, or makes me happy. The book is the result of all those emotions.
ASJ: For whom do you write these stories?
AM: Look, there are many people who say, I write for myself. I think that if you write and publish, then you write for your readers, not just for yourself. If not, why publish?
I write to tell myself stories, to hear them, to imagine them, to know what they are all about; because most of the time, many of these stories that I write, I know how they begin, but I do not know how they will end.
Many writers say that they write in order to be loved. I place myself among those writers. I do write to be loved; I speak so that I am loved. I work for love; I live with others so that they may love me, and so that I can love them. For me, this is very important, and many, or all, of my relationships are based on that.
ASJ: In your stories, you often use birds as metaphors for women: swallows, doves, sparrows.
AM: One often equates birds with freedom, no doubt about it. I do it deliberately.
ASJ: And the use of colors: “It was orange afternoon”…
AM: Oh! You don’t know how I’ve wrestled with that in my mind. You have no idea. Because: “One orange afternoon, Julia Corzas opened the door to her third lover.” [“Una tarde naranja, Julia Corzas le abrió la puerta a su tercer marido”.] Well, there are all kinds of problems with that sentence. …
The character’s name is Julia. So then you have “naranja-ju”; and I thought to myself, “ja-ju” is terrible—but there is a comma in between [the two syllables]. And I am not about to change the character’s name, Julia. So it is better that the afternoon not be orange [naranja]. But then it read, “One afternoon, Julia Corzas…” I thought, no, no, just “one afternoon”? No. So then you play with it: a purple afternoon, a blue afternoon … and suddenly you’re back with “an orange afternoon”!
I did want the reader to see the afternoon. That is, I wanted the reader to understand that it was the hour of the setting sun outside. Not four o’clock, but six. And you can’t say “one afternoon at six” – it sounds horrible!
As I write, I am very conscious of how it will sound. I think it is extremely important, the music of the words. It is one of my obsessions.
English to Spanish: Art and Culture/Arte y Cultura
Source text - English Ultima Cena: Cities, Tastes and Tongues (2001) represents how Miralda's preoccupations with the way food and cooking ingredients contribute to the formation of culture and taste. For Miralda, culture is not isolated within the walls of institutions; it resides in the public domain of shared social rituals, most importantly the meal. There is something anthropological in his interests and in his desire to gather information from different cities regarding what he calls 'food
culture'. On the other hand, Miralda's work presents a platform for the most vital form of contemporary social practice. There
is also a warning, for Miralda points to how the increasing globalisation of culture and economic systems is destroying the particularity of local culinary customs and replacing them with
international standardisation.
Cities, Tastes and Tongues forms part of a larger artistic project. Beginning in Miami, Miralda presents the relation of the 13 most important Spanish speaking cities with the local
tastes of each respective city. Miami is an appropriate starting point for this project which will move to each of these cities and be accompanied by actions specific to each urban context. Miami, indeed, is something of an international meeting point for the pan-latin speaking world in the Americas, and a connecting point with the old Spanish (and also Catalan) speaking cities
Madrid and Barcelona. For Miralda, the relation between cities and the movements of people between cities represents the most
dynamic dimension of cultural and linguistic exchange, the active ingredients for a truly innovative culinary mix.
Cities, Tastes and Tongues consists of a set of dinner plates on which are reproduced a large tongue and the city plan of each of the cities. Alongside this are hand-written texts which include local recipes, food ingredients, and customary
dishes as well as local expressions and sayings unique to the place. All of these plates are laid out on a long dining room table as a 'last supper'. A large format drawing for each of the plates will hang on the wall as part of the installation
environment. The great Catalan painter Joan Miró once noted, 'the more local anything is the more universal' (1964). Miralda operates according to this principal: local in each project and
universal in his capacity to involve the widest audience.
Likewise, Miró's observation that 'the taste for anonymity leads to collective work' (1964) also describes Miralda's collaborative and self-effacing approach. Miralda works with many people, so
the information reproduced here on each plate is provided by the inhabitants of these cities. In this way, these plates represent the distillation of a vast database of culinary memory. Miralda's methodology is to connect to the people living in a particular place, and he does this by bringing them into the creative process. Food and the preparation of food is not mysterious, and each person has some experience with cooking,
recipes and eating. Such culinary memories provide a link to the past; at the same time, a more active engagement with the present
is encouraged.
Tongues, plates and food recipes have always formed a point of reference for Miralda. In 1971, Miralda eroded the presumed permanence of art with his 'Eat Art Galerie' (Dusseldorf). Indeed, as a meal exists only for a brief time, Miralda made art
ephemeral by transforming it into a meal. Miralda's poster 'El sentit del gust de color' ['the sense of the taste of colour'] (1970) represents different coloured tongues and diagrams of the
taste buds in a colour/taste analogy. The cultural mobility of food was a feature of innumerable of his projects, most notably Moveable Feast staged outdoors in New York city (1974). Indeed,
such an approach demonstrates that Miralda is concerned not with the fabrication of objects but with an understanding of food as performance.
Plates, of course, figure in many of Miralda's
cooking and banqueting rituals, for example his series of actions called Honeymoon Project (1986-1992), which represented the exchange of food between the new and the old world in the
symbolic marriage of the Statue of Liberty (New York) and the Columbus Monument (Barcelona). As part of Honeymoon Project, Miralda's Aquatic Fire (1992) presented a stack of 25 giant
plates, each representing the cities which had hosted the Olympics, and a birthday cake floating in the harbour of Barcelona which was dramatically set aflame simultaneously as the
Olympic flame entered the city. More recently, in The Tower of Plates (1996) Miralda covered the curving walls of one of the galleries with a field of plates in the Museu d'art contemporani
in Barcelona. Last year in his Food Pavilion at the Hanover, Expo 2000, Miralda presented Tongue of Tongues, a giant tongue made up out of small photographs of tongues and accompanied by
a field of plates covering one of the walls.
Cities, Tastes and Tongues began in 1997 with the project City Plates, begun in the Istanbul Biennale. It will travel to each of the cities
represented on the plates. Further, in due course, the project will be extended to included other cities in the world. Miralda's ongoing Food Culture Museum project gathers together a vast array of food related objects, including the transformation of food into pre-packaged commodities, and a
consideration of the relation of food culture to hunger, food scarcity and malnutrition.
Miralda proposes a cultural paradigm which points to an alternative understanding of globalisation as a 'meeting point' which metaphorically brings people together in a ritual around the dining table. He rejects the dominant neo-liberal model of
globalisation, and warns, 'ancient food culture traditions (recipes, proverbs, ingredients) are dying in the modern world of international fast food culture, electronic communications...'. To this he proposes more than a mere museological gathering of food information. Indeed, Miralda's
preoccupation with tongues has an irreverent dimension as a rejection of authority and its banal standardisations. But it is also a reverent irreverence. Far from the hypnotic society
of spectacle, Miralda proposes a participatory form of social behaviour based in the particularity of human interaction and an economics of festive exchange.

(1964) Miralda opera acorde a este principio: local en cada proyecto, pero universal en su capacidad de involucrar al mayor número de personas.
Igualmente, la observación de Miró que “la preferencia por el anonimato lleva al trabajo colectivo” (1964) también describe el enfoque colaborativo y modesto de Miralda. Miralda trabaja con mucha gente, así es que la información reproducida aquí en cada plato proviene de los habitantes de estas ciudades. De esta forma, estos platos representan el destilado de una inmensa base de datos de memoria culinaria. La metodología de Miralda consiste en conectarse a la gente que vive en un lugar particular, y esto lo logra involucrándolos en el proceso creativo. Las lenguas, los platos y las recetas de comida siempre han constituido un punto de referencia para Miralda. En 1971, Miralda erosiona la supuesta permanencia del arte con su “Eat Art Galerie” (Dusseldorf). De hecho, igual que una comida existe sólo por un corto tiempo, Miralda hace el arte efímero al transformarlo en una comida. Su cartel “El sentit del gust de color” [“El sentido del gusto del color”] (1970) representa lenguas de diferentes colores y diagramas del paladar usando una analogía entre gustos y colores. La movilidad cultural de la comida se destaca en innumerables de sus proyectos, notablemente en su “Banquete Movible”, montada al aire libre en Nueva York en 1974. De hecho, este enfoque demuestra que Miralda se interesa no por la fabricación de los objetos, sino por entender la comida como representación.
Los platos, por supuesto, figuran en muchos de los rituales de cocina y banquetes de Miralda, como por ejemplo su serie de acciones titulada “Proyecto luna de miel” (1986-1992), las cuales representaron el intercambio de comida entre el nuevo y el viejo mundo vía el matrimonio simbólico de la Estatua de la Libertad en Nueva York y el Monumento a Colón en Barcelona. “Ciudades, Gustos, y Lenguas” comienza en 1997 con el proyecto “Platos Urbanos,” que se lanza en la Bienal de Estambul y que se exhibirá en cada de las ciudades representadas. En el futuro, el proyecto se ampliará para incluir otras ciudades del mundo. El Museo de la Cultura de la Comida, un proyecto de Miralda que continúa en desarrollo, amasa una enorme cantidad de objetos relacionados a la comida, incluyendo la trasformación de la comida en materias primas preempaquetadas, y considera la relación de la cultura de la comida al hambre, la escasez de comida, y la desnutrición.

If the new member is a resident of a long-term care facility, we will cover a temporary 34-day transition supply (unless you have a prescription written for fewer days). We will cover more than one refill of these drugs for the first 90 days for a new member of our Plan. If a new member needs a drug that is not on our formulary or subject to other restrictions, such as step therapy or dosage limits, but the new member is past the first 90 days of new membership in our Plan, we will cover a 34-day emergency supply of that drug (unless the prescription is for fewer days) while the new member pursues a formulary exception.

Source text - English As part of its review of Comprehensive Policy Plan amendments and rezoning requests that would increase residential density, Orange County Public Schools (OCPS) reports the status of school capacity at schools impacted by the proposed development and the impact of vested projects impacting the same schools. Where capacity will not be available to serve students from new development, the developer may enter into a Capacity Enhancement Agreement (CEA) with OCPS to develop strategies for providing schools or additional funding for capacity enhancement to insure that capacity is available. Proposed CEA's are reviewed by OCPS and, if approved by the School Board, are reflected in binding agreements with the landowners that ensure school capacity would be available to meet the needs of the proposed development.
Translation - Spanish Como parte de su revisión de las enmiendas al Plan Integral de Políticas y a las peticiones para cambios en la zonificación que incrementarían la densidad residencial, el sistema de Escuelas Públicas del Condado de Orange (OCPS, por sus siglas en inglés) reporta el estatus de la capacidad escolar en las escuelas impactadas por la urbanización propuesta y el impacto de los proyectos autorizados sobre las mismas escuelas. De no haber capacidad para servir al alumnado que resultaría de la urbanización propuesta, la promotora inmobiliaria podrá suscribir un Acuerdo de Ampliación de Capacidad (Capacity Enhancement Agreement, o CEA) con la OCPS para desarrollar estrategias para proveer escuelas o recursos adicionales para ampliar la capacidad escolar, que asegurarían dicha capacidad. La OCPS revisará cada CEA propuesto, y de ser aprobados por la Junta Escolar, dichos CEAs serán incorporados a acuerdos vinculantes con los terratenientes para asegurar que la capacidad escolar corresponda a las necesidades de la urbanización propuesta.

Virginia Recaséns Cueto is a writer, journalist, editor and translator whose passion is language—in particular, passion for her two native tongues: Spanish and English. A long-time resident of Miami, Florida, she works and publishes in both languages.
Born in Havana, Cuba, Ms. Cueto immigrated as a child to the United States, becoming a naturalized U.S. citizen in 1972. She was educated in New Jersey and New York before continuing studies in Miami, Florida, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in English summa cum laude, as well as a Certificate in Translation Studies (Spanish and English) from Florida International University in Miami. She also holds a Diploma Superior de Español Como Lengua Extranjera (Advanced Diploma - Spanish as a Foreign Language), granted through the Ministry of Education and Culture and the University of Salamanca, in Spain.
Her extensive translation experience encompasses a broad scope of news, financial and feature articles, as well as legal and business documents, academic transcripts and diplomas, and literary translation.
Five years as a translator and editor at Agencia EFE, Spain’s international news agency, provided a transition from translating to journalism, covering the growing U.S. Hispanic community of which she is a part.
Her bilingual skills and expertise on the U.S. Hispanic community led to a position on the editorial staff of Hispanic Publishing Group, now part of Televisa Publishing, which she joined in 2001 to help launch HispanicOnline.com. Subsequently, in February 2003, Ms. Cueto assumed the position of Editor of Hispanic Trends Magazine (now Hispanic Enterprise), a national English-language glossy co-published by Hispanic Publishing Group and the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce for the Latino entrepreneur. Ms. Cueto was involved in the creation of Hispanic Trends from its inception, serving on its editorial board before assuming full editorial direction.
From January 2006 to June 2007 she served as Editor of tiemposdelmundo.com, a Spanish-language website covering Latin American, U.S. and world news that was the digital counterpart of Tiempos del Mundo, a sister publication to The Washington Times. Under Ms. Cueto’s direction tiemposdelmundo.com was re-launched in December 2006 as a daily news site with a new design, expanded coverage and original and multimedia content, increasing Web traffic 1,000% in the first five months after launch.
An avid reader, Ms. Cueto has traveled through the United States, South America, Spain and France, where she also conducted genealogical research on French, Spanish, English and Irish branches of her family. She was profiled in This Day in the Life: Diaries from Women Across America, edited by Joni B. Cole, Rebecca Joffrey and B.K. Rakhra, Three Rivers Press, New York, 2005.
