Translation - English This term refers to the process of releasing water, that usually contains dissolved chemical fertilizers, around the plants, using the dripping machines, until the soil reaches saturation between 80-100% of the field capacity. This is performed by pressing water under low pressure (2-3 atmospheric pressure, 30-40 pounds per inch2) resulting in the surging of water in the form of droplets.
This drip irrigation is a new and complicated irrigation technology. it can be applied superficially or below the surface, the latter being the more commonly used in vegetable plantations especially in newly cultivated lands or when lands are planted near to industrial zones. The drip machinery vary in terms of shape and operation. They are manufactured from the PVC (machines that are placed below earth surface) or polyethylene (machines placed above surface).
