Source text - English These guidelines explain how to make Web content accessible to people with disabilities. The guidelines are intended for all Web content developers (page authors and site designers) and for developers of authoring tools. The primary goal of these guidelines is to promote accessibility. However, following them will also make Web content more available to all users, whatever user agent they are using (e.g., desktop browser, voice browser, mobile phone, automobile-based personal computer, etc.) or constraints they may be operating under (e.g., noisy surroundings, under- or over-illuminated rooms, in a hands-free environment, etc.). Following these guidelines will also help people find information on the Web more quickly. These guidelines do not discourage content developers from using images, video, etc., but rather explain how to make multimedia content more accessible to a wide audience.

Experience
Years of experience: 19. Registered at ProZ.com: Aug 2007.
I am a computer systems engineer/teacher/future biodynamic farmer but I am interested in languages, teaching, social development, agriculture, pedagogy, social justice, alternative medicine, biology, traveling, world history and culture.
I was working as a Waldorf teacher in Valle de Bravo, Mexico. I have read several topics about anthroposophy and I would be very interested in related projects such as music, agriculture, geometry and arts.
I have traveled and volunteered for several years around Asia and Central America. I started to learn Hindi and Chinese. Also, I am familiar with the sanskrit and arabic alphabet. I believe languages are a must to know to travel. I enjoy translating and writing honest and mindful content. I am respectful and sensible to cultures and traditions.
I used to write for a local news bulletin in Chiapas, Mexico. I worked for a private IT company during two years but I am still in contact with the development world. I used English everyday to communicate with international clients in USA, Europe and Asia.
I am also a former volunteer who worked for UNDP in Ecuador as the web master.
Since then, I started to contact people working with IT and social development projects. I also worked for UNDP Mexico creating the website for the Gender Equality area.
My expertise are web sites (localization, SEO, meta tags and orthography), polls and e-courses .
Regarding the Social Development fields; Press releases, policies, project's reports and campaigns.
