Source text - English Within the context of consultations, Health Canada’s Consultation Tracking System (CTS) is used to track, report and to conduct performance measurement. As well, it is used for stakeholder scanning. It took three years to develop. Funding was incremental and estimated to be in the range of one million dollars. The three biggest costs were training, staff time and populating the system.
CTS is regarded as a starter system for consultation information management. It is estimated that if another department wished to use this web based application the costs would be in the range of $60K; Health Canada seems willing to provide the skin for their system to other departments at no cost. A department could attempt to use a excel sheet as a crude alternative.
