Translation - English 'Journalists shouldn’t publish the price of albino body parts'
Participants of a meeting to discuss albino murders do not want the media to publish the prices for body parts of these disabled people. They have stated doing so contributes to inciting murders of albinos by persuading people to conduct this type of business. They made this recommendation when reporting on the groups’ discussions in the city of Dar es Salaam yesterday. Likewise they want the government to carry out inspections of shops selling traditional medicine just as they do for shops selling commercial medicine. They said doing so will ensure medicines sold are not illegal according to national law and regulations. “In these shops a person sells traditional medicine who is ignorant about them or a taxi driver can establish a traditional medicinal shop today and cause you tragedy” said one of these seminar participants, Rose Abdullah. They said no-one knows what is being sold in these shops, a situation which causes some of them to sell animal body parts claiming that they are used for curing various diseases.

Translation - English Children at Risk
It is recognised that 60% of children living with HIV in the Mwanza region don’t use antiretroviral drugs due to lack of awareness of their parents or guardians. These children are among those registered in health centres and eligible to use these medicines, after testing and realising that their immunity and CD4 count is low. The Community Development Officer, Mwanza Regions, Mr Isaack Ndasa, who is also AIDS Coordinator in this region, said that the January report of this year shows 1,283 were registered to receives this medicine, but only 519 actually commenced using it. Ndasa said that the number of children who take this medicine is only 40% of those who are registered. “Those children failed to start using this medicine because of awareness of guardians or parents themselves not seeing the importance of commencing them on medication even though those children have been tested and identified as having low immunity and requiring medication” he said.

DOES THE COMBINED ORAL CONTRACEPTIVE PILL CAUSE CANCER?
Cancer
The results of a recent large UK study indicate that oral contraception is not associated with an overall increased risk of cancer. There was a statistically significant reduction in all cancers in older women who had ever used oral contraceptives.
Gynaecological cancer
Combined oral contraceptive pills (COCs) reduce the risk of endometrial and ovarian cancer. When compared with women who have never used COCs, COC users are 50% less likely to develop ovarian cancer. COC use for approximately 3 years reduces a woman's risk of developing endometrial cancer by about 50%. Use of COCs for 10 years or more reduces a woman's risk of developing such cancers by 80%. The protective effect lasts for up to 20 years after cessation of COCs.
Translation - Swahili Kidonge na Saratani
JE, KIDONGE CHA KUZUIA UZAZI KINASABABISHA SARATANI?
Saratani

I am a Swahili-English translator based in Australia with 18 years experience. I have certification with NAATI in Swahili<>English translation and interpreting.
I am a native English speaker and lived and worked in Tanzania for 12 years where I learnt Swahili. Since returning to Australia I have been mainly interpreting for refugees from Burundi, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Kenya. This means I am also familiar with the Swahili variations in these areas.
Sydney is around 8-10 hours ahead of most of Europe and Africa, making it easy to do translations overnight.
I work primarily in the areas of health care, counseling, immigration, legal and tourism. I have also translated DVD scripts, letters, certificates, newspaper articles and glossaries in both directions (Swahili and English).
I take pride in thorough high quality translations delivered as quickly as possible.
