Translation - English By the end of the 60’s, young Celinda, the daughter of the last Secoya chief Cecilio Piaguaje, was washing [clothing] in the river, when “Texaco appeared suddenly from the middle of the mountain… Oh, I was so scared! Second, since many nations have identified online learning as a means of teacher upgrading, high rates of attrition further undermine many national efforts to upgrade the quality and skills of the existing teaching force. Third, as Moody (2004) notes, attrition results in “wasted expenditures” for educational organizations in terms of “development, delivery, and assessment” (p. 205) and in lost revenue for universities in terms of tuition and fees.

Source text - Spanish Art. 1.- El Ecuador es un Estado constitucional de derechos y justicia, social, democrático, soberano, independiente, unitario, intercultural, plurinacional y laico. Se organiza en forma de república y se gobierna de manera descentralizada.
La soberanía radica en el pueblo, cuya voluntad es el fundamento de la autoridad, y se ejerce a través de los órganos del poder público y de las formas de participación directa previstas en la Constitución.
Los recursos naturales no renovables del territorio del Estado pertenecen a su patrimonio inalienable, irrenunciable e imprescriptible.
Art. 2.- La bandera, el escudo y el himno nacional, establecidos por la ley, son los símbolos de la patria. El castellano es el idioma oficial del Ecuador; el castellano, el kichwa y el shuar son idiomas oficiales de relación intercultural. Los demás idiomas ancestrales son de uso oficial para los pueblos indígenas en las zonas donde habitan y en los términos que fija la ley. El Estado respetará y estimulará su conservación y uso.
Translation - English Article 1. Ecuador is a constitutional State of rights and justice, a social, democratic, sovereign, independent, unitary, intercultural, multinational and secular State. It is organized as a republic and is governed using a decentralized approach.
Sovereignty lies with the people, whose will is the basis of all authority, and it is exercised through public bodies using direct participatory forms of government as provided for by the Constitution.
Nonrenewable natural resources of the State’s territory belong to its inalienable and absolute assets, which are not subject to a statute of limitations.
Article 2. The flag, coat of arms and national anthem, as provided for by law, are the symbols of the nation. Spanish is Ecuador’s official language; Spanish, Kichwa and Shuar are official languages for intercultural ties. The other ancestral languages are in official use by indigenous peoples in the areas where they live and in accordance with the terms set forth by law. The State shall respect and encourage their preservation and use.

Based on my 23 years of experience in translation and the rest of my life studying and reading different subjects of my interest (sociology, politics, psychology and, at present, literature, mostly biographies and novels), besides being up to date in the world's events, I believe I am a person who is fully capable of doing an excellent work in my fields of expertise, both in translation and interpretation.
My interpretation has reached very high levels with VIP's in different fields, such as local and foreign presidents, ministers, mayors, UNHCR High Commissioner, Nobel Prize Joseph Steiglitz, OPEC CEO, UNASUR ministers of foreign affairs, as well as corporate CEO's, etc. I consider my jobs, not only a means of material livelihood, but also a means of enriching the mind. They have given me the opportunity to know all kinds of people, places and, of course, subjects. I truly believe that a T/I will never be able to perform at high level without sound general and specific knowledge and culture.
