I`m a Dutch sociologist (MA) living in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I`ve lived here since 2003 and I work both as a translator and as a Dutch, English and Spanish teacher at various institutes. Besides that I`m studying to be a public translator Spanish-Dutch.
Main fields of translation experience: commercial and business documents, manuals, press releases, contracts and correspondance related to the music industry.
For me translating is not only passing words from one language into another, but passing on a meaning and specific consequences to the reader. To do so, one has to know a culture and constantly bring oneself up to date on the latest linguistic changes.
I work fast, but put accuracy and style first.
My personal interests run from philosophy to everything that has to do with the internet, photography, music and a lot more.
