I am a bilingual Japanese/English (speak natively in both languages with no "foreign accent" in either) and do both freelance interpretation and translation work.
Currently, I seek short-term translation assignments from home or local-distance interpreting assignments in the Los Angeles area.
Interpreting expertise include simultaneous, semi-simultaneous, and consecutive in both J/E and E/J.
Prefer translation work from J/E, but will also do E/J.
Also have experiences in editing/proofing of English documents.
I've had almost 15 years total professional experiences working as an interpreter/ translator for law firm & attorneys, international business investors, Japanese magazine (also as coodinator/ reporter), in-house translator and liaison person for export company and automotive-related industry (paint color design), as well as do translation/ interpreting work through agencies combined.

Depositions, arbitrations, presentations, seminars and meetings, journalistic assignments, etc.
Translations of computer software manuals and technical materials, business correspondences, prepare speeches (ghost-writing), scripts for voiceovers, audio-tape and comicbook translations,etc.

Pricing:
Interpretations = minimum 1 hour plus transportation $150. Hourly rates negotiable.
Translations = $.05 ~ $.11 average depending on specialties.
Rush work = rates may be higher
