TRANSLATION EXPERIENCE

LEGAL: I was the director of the Translation Department from 2001 – 2003 at Grasty, Quintana, Majlis & Cia Law Firm, Santiago, Chile. I translate corporate by-laws, deeds, birth/death certificates, divorce decrees, court/government forms and formal/informal letters to/from attorneys or judges for law firms, financial institutions and translation agencies, 2001 –

FINANCIAL: I’ve been a translator at an important financial institution, New York City, 2005 -

ADVERTISING: I translate copy for important Hispanic advertising agencies in New York City, 2008 –

MEDICAL: I have translated brochures on medical equipment since 2007 - ; I have also translated scripts on kidney and liver transplants for voice-over projects, 2006 - ;

WEBSITES: I’m currently translating and localizing a children’s website The Wumblers from English into Spanish; I translated the website Fork It Diet from English into Spanish.

INTERPRETING EXPERIENCE

LEGAL: I have interpreted at arbitration conferences and in court, at videoconferences, hearings, depositions and intake at the NJ and NY Superior, Municipal, Social Security Administration and Bankruptcy Courts and Law Firms. I have also interpreted for ACS caseworkers.

MEDICAL: I have interpreted at IME’s and at New York City Hospitals such as Bronx-Lebanon and Cornell-Presbyterian; I have done conference interpreting for major pharmaceutical companies.

INSURANCE: I do telephonic interpreting for insurance companies.

INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT: I have interpreted at the United Nations for conferences, workshops and training on international development, women’s rights and religion.
