Hi, my name is Isabel Santafé. I come from Spain and I have lived in the UK for nearly ten years. In 2005 I undertook an MA in Applied Translation at the University of Exeter and since then I have been working part-time as a freelance translator. I expanded my knowledge on translation theory with the completion of a PhD in Translation Studies at the University of Exeter in 2012, which has given me the opportunity to bridge theory and practice both as a translator and as a lecturer.
I particularly enjoy doing creative translation. My area of expertise is the translation of ads, in particular from the beauty and cosmetic sector, and marketing material. I have also experience translating websites and other types of texts such as children’s literature, media reports, certificates and audio-visual material.
I am a reliable, efficient, culturally-aware and approachable translator with excellent computer skills and a strong commitment to the different aspects of the translation profession.
Please, do get in touch if you need my translation services or have an interesting project which I could take part in.
I am looking forward to hearing from you.
