From customer services to language services... Before becoming a
freelance translator, I worked in internal sales for manufacturing companies in
Germany and the UK for 15 years, looking after German and English speaking
customers in Europe and beyond, liaising with other departments and transport
companies and handling all manner of documents in both languages, as well as
training new entrants. Prior to my time in Munich, I also worked as a secretary
for an architectural practice so I have broad experience of working for and
with various sized companies offering different products and services. I have a BA (Hons) degree
in European Studies and have been a member of the Chartered Institute of
Linguists since 2003, having attained the Diploma in Translation. As well as the built environment, interior design and household products, I have a huge respect for the natural environment and our interaction with it along with the need for sustainable and ethical production and products so I especially welcome enquiries for end clients in these fields as well as more general business and marketing documents. I am experienced in working with translation agencies and bureaux in the UK and Europe. I always aim to meet
realistic deadlines without compromising on accuracy or style and to produce
well-researched and well-written translations that convey the original meaning. My recent translations
include: websites, brochures, press
releases and presentations; marketing material for construction, interior
design and furnishing products, ethical products, transport solutions and more; sustainability reports, financial reports,
management reports, training material, customer surveys and responses, business correspondence and agreements, privacy policies and much more... |
