Source text - English I. Introduction
1. Purpose
This Order Execution Policy sets out the policy of UBS
Deutschland AG (referred to below as "UBS") for the execution
of orders in financial instruments aiming at taking all reasonable steps to obtain the best possible result for the execution of client orders. This Order Execution Policy implements the requirements of the European Markets in Financial Instruments Directive.1
2. Scope
This policy is to be applied to:
a) the execution of orders for the sale or purchase of financial instruments through UBS on behalf of retail clients and/or professional clients where UBS has direct access to execution venues (UBS as "executor of orders", sec. 33a (1) of the German Securities Trading Act (WpHG)),
b) the transmission of client orders for the sale and purchase of financial instruments to third-party investment firms; UBS uses them as commission agents or intermediaries for execution venues to which UBS has no direct access (referred to below as "receiver and transmitter of orders" or abbreviated to "RTO", sec. 33a (8) WpHG) and
c) portfolio management by UBS in which UBS acts as an executor of orders pursuant to a) or as a RTO pursuant to b).
This policy is not to be applied to:
d) the execution of orders for the sale or purchase of financial instruments through UBS on behalf of eligible counterparties unless UBS has agreed with the eligible counterparty to treat it as a professional client or a retail client,
e) the issuing and redemption of shares in investment funds or investment companies and foreign investment funds whose distribution in Germany is permitted, sec. 23 of the German Investment Act (InvG), via a custodian bank and
f) orders which are placed by UBS (UBS Sauerborn division) in the course of portfolio management on behalf of clients who keep their securities accounts at third-party banks. This procedure will be dealt with in a separate execution policy.
3. Classification of financial instruments
UBS distinguishes between the following classes of financial instruments when executing client orders:
a) Equities
- domestic equities
- foreign equities
b) Domestic and foreign bonds and money-market instruments
c) Securitised standardised derivatives and certificates
- exchange-traded (incl. Multilateral Trading Facilities, abbreviated "MTF")
- not exchange-traded
d) Non-securitised standardised derivatives
e) Non-securitised and non-standardised derivatives
f) Shares in domestic and foreign investment funds
- shares in domestic and foreign open-end investment funds not traded on a regulated market and not included in a regulated unofficial market of a domestic stock exchange.
- Shares in domestic and foreign investment funds specifically designed for exchange trading (so-called Exchange Traded Funds or abbreviated "ETF")
II. Execution of client orders
UBS executes client orders for the sale and purchase of the above classes of financial instruments (see I. 3) as commission agent. These commission transactions are governed by the regulations of Nos. 1.- 4. below.
1. Commission transactions
Where UBS has no direct access to execution venues in respect of the above classes of financial instruments, UBS has its client orders executed by selected commission agents or intermediaries. The use of commission agents and intermediaries for the execution of client orders is a more cost¬effective way of gaining access to as many execution venues as possible than if UBS were to obtain direct access to a large number of such execution venues.
Client orders for the sale and purchase of financial instruments will be executed in accordance with this policy. This Order Execution Policy may be derogated in a particular case if this might bring about a better result regarding execution of the client order, in terms of the total consideration (representing the price of the financial instrument and all costs related to execution of the order). The policy may also be derogated if the client gives UBS particular instructions.

Bu Talimat İcra Politikası, müşteri talimatlarının icra edilmesi için gereken tüm makul adımları yerine getirerek mümkün olan en iyi sonucun elde edilmesini amaçlayan finansal araçlarda talimatların icra edilmesi için UBS Deutschland AG politikasını ortaya koyuyor (aşağıda "UBS" olarak geçiyor). 2. Kapsamı
Bu politika aşağıdakilere uygulanır:
a) UBS’in icra mekânlarına doğrudan ulaşma imkânı olduğu durumlarda, perakende müşteriler ve/veya profesyonel müşteriler adına UBS vasıtasıyla finansal araç satma veya satın alma talimatlarının icra edilmesi (UBS “emir icra eden” olarak, Alman Menkul Kıymetler Ticaret Kanunun (WpHG) 33a (1) bölümü),
b) müşterilerin finansal araç satma veya satın alma talimatlarının üçüncü taraf yatırım şirketlerine iletilmesi; UBS’in icra mekânlarına doğrudan ulaşma imkânı olmadığı durumlarda, UBS bu şirketleri komisyoncu acente veya aracı olarak kullanıyor (aşağıda “talimat alıcısı ve ileticisi” veya kısaltılmış şekliyle “TAİ” olarak geçiyor, WpHG’nin 33a (8) bölümü) ve
c) UBS’in a) gereğince talimat icra eden veya b) gereğince TAİ olarak hareket ettiği durumlarda, portföyün UBS tarafından yönetilmesi.
Bu politika aşağıdakilere uygulanmaz:
d) uygun karşı taraflar adına UBS vasıtasıyla finansal araç satma veya satın alma talimatlarının icra edilmesi; UBS, uygun karşı tarafa profesyonel müşteri veya perakende müşteri olarak davranacağı konusunda uygun karşı taraf ile anlaşmış olduğu durumlar hariç,
e) emanet bankası aracılığıyla yatırım fonlarında veya yatırım şirketlerinde ve dağıtılmasına Almanya’da izin verilen, Alman Yatırım Kanununun (InvG) 23 bölümü, yabancı yatırım fonlarında hisse senetlerinin ihraç edilmesi ve itfa edilmesi ve
f) menkul kıymetlerini üçüncü taraf banka hesaplarında tutan müşteriler adına portföy yönetimi sırasında UBS (UBS Sauerborn şubesi) tarafından verilen talimatlar. Bu işlem ayrı bir icra politikasında ele alınacaktır.
3. Finansal araçların sınıflandırılması
Müşteri talimatlarını icra ederken, UBS aşağıdaki finansal araçlar sınıfları arasında ayırım yapar:
a) Hisse senetleri
- yerli hisse senetleri
- yabancı hisse senetleri
b) Yerli ve yabancı bonolar ve para piyasası araçları
c) Teminatlı standartlaştırılmış türevler ve sertifikalar
- borsada işlem görenler (Multilateral Trading Facilities - Çok Taraflı Ticaret Kurumları dâhil, kısaltılmış olarak “MFT” adlandırılırlar)
- borsada işlem görmeyenler
d) Teminatsız standartlaştırılmış türevler
e) Teminatsız ve standartlaştırılmamış türevler
f) Yerli ve yabancı yatırım fonlarındaki hisse senetleri
- Yerli menkul kıymetler borsasının düzenlenmiş piyasasında işlem görmeyen ve resmi olmayan düzenlenmiş piyasaya dâhil olmayan, yerli ve yabancı açık uçlu yatırım fonlarındaki hisse senetleri.
- Özel olarak borsada işlem görmek için tasarlanmış (sözde Exchange Traded Funds - Borsada İşlem Gören Fonlar veya kısaltılmış olarak “ETF”), yerli ve yabancı yatırım fonlarındaki hisse senetleri.
II. Müşteri talimatlarının icra edilmesi
UBS, müşterilerin yukarıda sıralanmış finansal araçları (I.3’e bak) satma veya satın alma talimatlarını komisyoncu acente olarak icra eder. Bu komisyon işlemleri aşağıdaki 1-4 numaralı düzenlemelere tabidir.
1. Komisyon işlemleri
Yukarıdaki finansal araçlar sınıflarıyla ilgili olarak UBS’in icra mekânlarına doğrudan ulaşma imkânı olmadığı durumlarda, UBS müşteri talimatlarının seçilmiş komisyoncu acenteler veya aracılar tarafından icra edilmesini sağlar. UBS’in bu tür çok sayıda icra mekânlarına doğrudan ulaşmaya çalışması ile karşılaştırıldığında, müşteri talimatlarının icra edilmesi için komisyoncu acenteler ve aracıların kullanılması, mümkün olduğu kadar çok icra mekânlarına ulaşmak için daha hesaplı bir yöntemdir.
Müşterilerin finansal araç satma veya satın alma talimatları bu politika çerçevesinde icra edilecektir. İstisnai bir durumda toplam karşılık (finansal aracın fiyatını ve bu talimatın icra edilmesiyle ilgili tüm giderleri temsil eder) göz önünde tutularak bu politikanın ihlal edilmesi müşteri talimatının icra edilmesi bakımından daha iyi bir sonuca yol açacaksa, bu Talimat İcra Politikası ihlal edilebilir. Müşteri UBS’e özel emirler verdiğinde de bu Talimat İcra Politikası ihlal edilebilir.

The most sustainable manifestation of human existence is found in its buildings. Nothing binds human consciousness more intensely to its own culture, to the cultural roots of history, as the edifices of the past do.
Poetry, painting, music are all witnesses to our evolution. However, they do not nearly have the presence and broad effect that architecture has. All arts originate from a primitive human need to give meaning and direction to the human will to form, to preserve today’s content and evidence for posterity and to attain immortality. However, only one art, architecture, in its primary or even elementary role, also serves the physical maintenance of the human being, for in contrast to the animal, he human being in nature would be defenceless without a constructed shelter.
This condition gives architecture primacy among the arts. Architecture not only serves the soul and mind, but also, and particularly so, the body. However, it is also this very condition that has produced the lamentable division between profane buildings and architecture, between those buildings that apparently must only fulfill a useful function and those that serve a higher purpose, namely to impress the soul and to enable mental reflection. Nowadays we encounter this division on a daily basis: a train station, for example, is seen purely as a functional building and is not expected to stimulate architectural-aesthetic ambitions.

Tüm sanatlar, insanın yaratma arzusuna anlam ve yön vermek, bugünün anlamını ve kanıtını gelecek kuşaklar için korumak ve ölümsüzlüğe ulaşmak gibi ilkel insan ihtiyaçlarından kaynaklanır. Fakat yalnızca bir sanat dalı, mimari, ilkel veya basit rolünde bile insanoğlunu fiziksel olarak koruma görevi yapar, çünkü hayvandan farklı olarak insan inşa edilmiş barınak olamadan doğada savunmasız kalır.

Bağlı olarak temel literatür sunulmakta ve ülkemizde yapılmış olan toplumsal yapı çalışmaları anlatılmaktadır.
Ders kapsamında kuruluş ve yükselişinden başlayarak Osmanlı Devleti’nde toplumsal, iktisadi ve siyasal gelişmeler üzerinde durulmakta, Tanzimat ve Meşrutiyet dönemlerinde yaşanan gelişmeler Cumhuriyet’e intikal eden miras bağlamında değerlendirilmektedir.
Derste Cumhuriyet’in kuruluşu ile Osmanlı’dan devralınan toplumsal, siyasal ve kültürel miras ile bunun üzerine inşa olunan yapı işlenmekte, Milli Mücadele yıllarından günümüze yaşanan toplumsal değişim bu değişimin göstergeleri olan nüfus, kentleşme ve aile bağlamında tartışılmaktadır.
Dersin işlenmesinde anlatım, ödev verme ve tartışma metotları izlenmektedir. Ders anlatımı; harita, resimler ve benzeri görsel öğeleri içeren power point sunumu ile desteklenmektedir. Ders öğrencilerin katılımını sağlamaya yönelik olarak işlenmektedir. Bu çerçevede ders planlı okuma ile konusu ders içeriği olan temel referans eserlerden önemli bir kısmı dönem sonuna kadarki sürede öğrenciler tarafından okunmakta, hazırlanan değerlendirme yazıları öngörülen süre içerisinde öğretim üyesine teslim edilmektedir.
Translation - English First of all, Social Structure of Turkey course covers basic concepts related to the course contents and focuses on the historical development of Sociology science in Turkey and around the world. Accordingly basic literature is presented and social structure studies performed in our country are described.
Within the course context social, economical and political developments in the Ottoman Empire are examined starting from the empire’s foundation and rise, and developments that took place during the Tanzimat Reform era and the Constitutional Monarchy period are evaluated as part of the legacy that passed down to the Republic.
Foundation of the Republic and social, political and cultural heritage that passed down from the Ottoman Empire is studied along with the structure built on it; social changes that have been taking place since the National Struggle years until today are discussed within the context of the indicators of these changes such as population, urbanization and family.
Lecturing, homework and discussion methods are used in the course teaching process. Lecturing is supported by power point presentations containing maps, pictures and similar visual elements. The course is taught to ensure student participation. In this context, an essential part of planned reading material and basic reference literature with the course related contents are read by the students before the end of the semester and prepared evaluation papers are handed in to the faculty member within the set time period.
