My very first interests when I studied languages went to economics and politics. I therefore studied to become an English to French translator in these specific fields learning later on Italian and improving in Italian to French through a course on European Studies in Rome.
My knowledge of English is mostly based on on-the-job experience while working for 7 years in an American multinational company in Paris where English was the working language and where I attended professional trainings in economics.
I have know been living in Italy for twenty years, in an area which economy is mostly based on the extraction, transformation and commerce of marble. I trained with interest in this domain and started working as a freelance translator 15 years ago, fulltime since 2001, specializing during the last 2 years in the law field.
I keep contact with my mother tongue by frequent trips in France and through the regular attending in Italy of meetings with French-speaking people. I also often practice English and do read a lot in English.
The domains in which I am mostly prepared to translate are: natural stones (extraction, transformation, machines), building, economics, politics, law, tourism, gastronomy, cosmetics, and thanks to a high personal interest in the field, recycling (water and waste).
When this is possible, I dedicate myself to many crafts related to textile (sewing, patchwork, knitting, customizing, textile jewelry), I am therefore used to their French, Italian and English terminology.
Member of the CAI (Club Alpino Italiano), I participate as an Italian to French interpreter for the local office when necessary.
