Source text - English His mossy gaze travelled over her body, lingering on the curves of her breasts before coming back up and locking with hers. She eyed the whiskers on his jaw and wondered what they’d feel like against her skin.
Her fingers itched to press into the slight dip in his chin then between his lips to feel the warmth in there. Breaths heavy, she lifted her chin and kept her gaze on his.
“Evelyn,” he murmured, the word a seduction in itself.
Kiss me, her mind begged. It didn’t matter that she hardly knew the man.
Her body knew what it wanted. It strained against her corsets to get to him.
You kiss me, his gaze seemed to say.
Translation - Italian Lo sguardo verde di lui, che richiamava il colore del muschio, perlustrò tutto il suo corpo, soffermandosi sulle curve dei suoi seni prima di risalire e posarsi sui suoi occhi. Lei ammirò quella mandibola coperta da un velo di barba e si chiese come sarebbe stato sentirne la sensazione contro la pelle.

Soudain, son attention se riva sur une silhouette à genoux, les mains liées derrière le dos.
Il ne réfléchit plus. Il ne le pouvait plus. Il n’était que fureur et douleur, peine et déni.
Il n’était que vengeance.
Il prit son élan. Son souffle se régla sur le rythme de ses pas. Son cœur poursuivit sa cadence effrénée, étonné de battre encore.
Il n’entendit pas les cris qui le suppliaient de ne pas faire ça. Il ne voulait pas les entendre. Il n’avait que faire des conséquences.
Darren attrapa son épée à deux mains et décrivit un grand arc de cercle. Ses bras tremblèrent sous l’impact.

Prime Beef was just across the street, but it felt like I was walking the green mile to get there.
God, why is this so hard? Why am I such a big chicken?
I let a couple enter ahead of me, then gave a small smile when the man held the door open so I could enter. I walked inside and inhaled, taking in the delicious scent of fresh-baked bread as I walked into the entryway.
As I looked around, my first thought was, Wow, he totally did it.
Translation - Italian Lei mi strinse di nuovo la mano, poi mi guardò preoccupata mentre la salutavo con un cenno del mignolo e mi avviavo giù per le scale.
Il Prime Beef era proprio dall’altra parte della strada, tuttavia, sembrava di percorrere il miglio verde per arrivarci.
