Source text - French Dans Star Wars Outlaws, vous pouvez ranger votre sabre laser puisque vous incarnez Kay Vess, une jeune voleuse de Cantonica qui se retrouve au cœur de la guerre des factions de ce vaste monde. Les brutes de Jabba le Hutt, les pirates Pyke, les manipulateurs de l’Aube Ecarlate… il va falloir être fine stratège pour ne pas s’attirer leur foudre et profiter de leurs protections.
On est donc plongé dans le monde de Star Wars, dans la peau d’une jeune Han Solo, une contrebandière qui va devoir user de ses talents de crochetage, de piratage et des discussions pour se sortir des coins les plus dangereux de la Bordure Extérieure.
Ca change de la toute-puissance du Jedi ! Et ça fait du bien. Toutes les mécaniques du jeu vont vous inciter, et parfois vous forcer, à jouer sur l’infiltration plutôt que sur le combat systématique. De ce fait, on était d’accord dans l’équipe pour dire qu’on aimait ce ressenti de fragilité, de se dire à chaque nouvelle péripétie « Bon, par où je le prends ?! En frontal je ne m’en sortirai jamais ! »
Et pour vous aider, vous serez accompagnée de votre inséparable Nix, une adorable bouille d’axolotl… qui a dit que ça sentait la peluche à plein nez ? Disney est incorrigible. Nix sera indispensable dans le gameplay, car il peut tout faire à distance : observer, attaquer, voler, activer des mécanismes et des bombes… votre couteau suisse sur patte !
Qui dit « jeu d’infiltration », dit prendre son temps : observez grâce au « Sens de Nix » et marquez vos ennemis avec vos jumelles. Faites tout ce que vous pouvez avec Nix à distance comme nettoyer la zone des objets à ramasser. Planifiez votre évolution : par où passer en restant cacher, qui assommer en premier dans un coin isolé pour que les autres ne le voient pas. C’est une grande partie du jeu, et au pire si des ennemis vous repèrent, ce sont ceux d’une zone proche qui viendront, pas toute la base contrairement à Avatar. Un combat se déclenche, essentiellement au tir de blaster. Pensez à vous mettre à couvert, deux ou trois coups de blaster vous mettront en très mauvaise posture.
Mais Star Wars Outlaws vous propose plusieurs autres mini jeux, à l’instar d’un Spiderman. Il y aura des serrures à crocheter. Pour ouvrir, il faut appuyer sur votre gâchette en suivant un rythme précis qui change à chaque serrure. Pour les crochetages… allez une vieille référence : c’est le Master Mind. En effet, vous avez un nombre limité d’essais pour retrouver une combinaison de symboles à placer dans le bon ordre. Enfin, pour débloquer des bonus pour Nix, vous devrez aller dans des restaurants de rue et faire une cinématique pleine de QTE, des « quick time events », dans lesquels il faut appuyer sur des touches dans un délai court quand elles apparaissent à l’écran.
Bien entendu, on n’imagine pas un jeu d’aventure Ubisoft sans sa multitude de quêtes secondaires permettant de faire évoluer votre personnage. Mais dans Star Wars Outlaws, on casse un peu les codes. Il y a moins le sentiment de « j’active une tour pour débloquer les quêtes de zone, pour collecter de l’expérience à mettre dans un arbre de compétences titanesque, des ressources et looter mon matériel gris à or… » Alors oui, il va falloir faire évoluer Kay et Nix, améliorer leur équipement, explorer les zones pour gagner en puissance. Mais c’est bien plus en douceur et intégré dans l’histoire avec un sentiment d’immersion.

You’re plunged into the world of Star Wars, into the shoes of a young Han Solo, a smuggler who has to use their lockpicking, slicing and fast-talking skills to escape the Outer Rim’s most dangerous corners.
It’s a change from Jedi omnipotence! We like that a lot. All of the game’s mechanics will encourage you, and sometimes force you, to focus on undercover sneaking about rather than systematic combat. As a result, the team agreed that they liked the feeling of vulnerability, of saying to themselves at each new twist, “Well, where do I go from here? I’ll never make it if I take them head-on!”
To help you, you’ll be accompanied by your inseparable pet, Nix, an adorable axolotl furball…. who says it looks just like a plush toy? Disney is incorrigible! Nix will be indispensable to gameplay, as he can do everything from a distance, such as watch, attack, fly, activate mechanisms and bombs… he’s your walking Swiss Army knife!
Going undercover means taking your time. Use “Nix Sense” to watch your surroundings and mark enemies with your electrobinoculars. Do everything you can with Nix from a distance, such as clearing the area of collectible objects. Plan out your path, like where you’ll go while remaining hidden and who to knock out first in a secluded corner so that others can’t see. It’s a big part of the game, and at worst, if enemies spot you, you’ll only draw those from the nearby vicinity and not the whole base, like in Avatar. If a fight breaks out, it’ll mainly involve blaster fire. Remember to take cover, as two or three blaster shots will put you in a very bad position.
Star Wars Outlaws, however, also offers a number of other mini-games, just like in Spiderman. You’ll have locks to pick. To open them, you’ll need to pull your trigger according to a precise rhythm that changes for every lock. As for slicing, it alludes to an old game, Master Mind. You’ll have a limited number of attempts to find the right combination of glyphs. Finally, to unlock bonuses for Nix, you’ll have to go to street-food stands and watch cutscenes full of QTEs, or “quick time events,” during which you’ll have to press keys within a short period from when they appear on-screen.
Of course, an Ubisoft adventure game without a multitude of side quests to help your character develop would be unimaginable. However, Star Wars Outlaws breaks the mold a bit. There’s less of a feeling of, “I have to activate a tower to unlock zone quests, collect experience points and put them into a titanic abilities tree, collect resources and loot my gray-to-gold gear.” So yes, Kay and Nix will develop over time, improve their equipment, and explore areas to gain power, but it’s a much smoother experience and well-integrated into the story with a sense of immersion.

Source text - French Le couple Chandigarh-Dhaka fait sens pour toute personne s’intéressant à l’architecture. Chandigarh est l’un des rares endroits où Le Corbusier a pu, dans les années 1950 et 1960, mettre en pratique ses idées à grande échelle ; il a laissé quelques bâtiments remarquables (notamment le Palais des Assemblées, la Haute Cour et le Secrétariat) tout en influençant la conception de nombreux autres1. À Dhaka, le fameux Louis Kahn a construit le bâtiment de l’Assemblée nationale (1962-1974), considéré comme l’un de ses chefs d’oeuvre. L’édifice propose une variations sur des formes géométriques simples, anguleuses ou circulaires. Le bâtiment principal comprend des tours trapues qui rappellent les forts moghols, dont on peut trouver les restes d’un exemplaire ailleurs dans la ville. Il trône, dans une symétrie appuyée, au milieu d’un immense parc qui l’éloigne d’autant plus de la ville qu’il est inaccessible au public. Chandigarh représente un geste encore plus fort puisque c’est toute une ville que l’architecte a dessinée. Il s’agit d’un projet empruntant beaucoup au modèle de la cité-jardin de Ebenezer Howard, mais avec une relecture personnelle de Le Corbusier.

Translation - English The two cities of Chandigarh and Dhaka make sense to everyone interested in architecture. Chandigarh is one of the rare places where Le Corbusier could, during the 1950s and 1960s, put his ideas into practice on a grand scale; he left some remarkable buildings, especially the Palace of Assembly, the High Court, and the Secretariat Building, all the while influencing the conception of many more. In Dhaka, the famous Louis Kahn built the National Assembly (1962 – 1974), considered to be one of his masterpieces. The building proposes some variations on simple geometric forms, either angular or circular. The principle building includes some sturdy towers reminiscent of Mogul forts, the remains of which can be found elsewhere in the city. It is enthroned, in a supported symmetry, in the middle of an immense park which distances it from the city as much as it renders it publicly inaccessible. Chandigarh is yet a stronger statement since it is the whole city which the architect designed. It is a project which borrows a lot from Ebenezer Howard's Garden City model, but with Le Corbusier's own personal interpretation.
