Bio
For over 10 years, Chi Ying has given life to numerous narrative texts, including marketing, drama plays, comics, and audio-visual works.
Chi Ying started working as a freelance translator with several media companies. Their mutual appreciation has led to some enduring partnerships. Prospecting his career development, he began learning French and ultimately came to France.
Passionate about different kinds of narration, Chi Ying finished his Bachelor's degree in Cinema and Audiovisual in 2021. He also joined La Compagnie des Mille et Une, a non-profit performance art organisation, actively taking part in improvisational theatre training, performances, and amateur short film productions. He wrote, directed, and edited La Grande Transformation (2021) and Interstice (2022).
Blending the realms of translation and performance art, Chi Ying has translated several dramas, with other exciting projects emerging. He is also a committee member of "En les murs" at Théâtre de la Plume, where he contributes to the creative direction and event planning.
When he is not working, he is either taking improvisation training with French actor Julien Masdoua, cheering on his friends, or performing in bars or theatres in Montpellier.
