Source text - English 2.1. Study population
We conducted the Building Research in Diet and Cognition study between January 2017 and October 2020 at several community sites in Chicago, Illinois. Participants were recruited using passive and active strategies including, advertising in local neighborhoods and presentations in senior facilities. Participants from a previous study who had agreed to be contacted for future research were also recruited (Hughes et al., 2020). Potential participants were screened by phone and in-person. Individuals included were 55–85 years old, body mass index (BMI) 30–50 kg/m2, Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA) score ≥ 19, MedDiet adherence screener score ≤ 6 out of 13 indicating that they were less than 50 % adherent to a MedDiet pattern (Martínez-González et al., 2012), and English-speaking. Exclusion criteria has been discussed elsewhere (Tussing-Humphreys et al., 2017) and included inability to exercise based on the EASY screener (Ory et al., 2005), hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c) > 9 % from a blood sample obtained during a screening visit, significant health conditions including autoimmune diseases, and severe pulmonary, cardiovascular, hepatic or renal diseases, Warfarin use, severe neurological or psychiatric condition, bariatric surgery, concurrent enrollment in a formal weight loss program or participation in cognitive research in the past 12 months. The protocol was approved by the University of Illinois Chicago Institutional Review Board (#2016–0258), and written informed consent was obtained from all participants.

Source text - English Let's call her Leda, although that is not her real name, which must rightly be protected as in any news story involving children. The story is one of those which, a few years ago, we didn’t even imagine could happen in Italy, after years of fighting for equal opportunities, social justice and constitutional principles that very clearly safeguard the rights of minors.
It was 2004, and Leda was 14 years old when her parents sold her to a Kosovar family, much in the same way, no more no less, as if they were selling an object, or a barnyard animal, instead of a young girl.
"Would you sell us your daughter? We need to buy a wife for our son."
"How much are you offering?"
"Sixty thousand euros."
“Deal done. Take her”.
Unable to refuse, Leda began her unhappy married life. At the slightest refusal to obey her "masters", she was beaten black and blue. Her father-in-law, the financial backer of the operation, thrashed her, her husband mistreated her. If Leda, tried to seek solace from her own parents, she was beaten by her father and master. Who was very worried about having to repay the 60,000 euros that the Kosovar in-laws would demand in the event of a breach of the sale.
Unfortunately, the painful story went on for several years; Leda meantime gave birth to three children. She moved to Switzerland with her husband and on her return to Piedmont she decided she couldn’t carry on any longer. On the 19 December 2012, she reported everything to the police in Gravellona Toce.

Translation - English Globally, Audi is striving to reduce its carbon footprint by around 30 percent in just five years and wants to achieve net zero carbon emissions throughout the company by 2050. The German carmaker is taking measures to reduce the carbon footprint of its vehicles even before they travel on the road. The Audi plant in Brussels, Belgium, where the e-tron and e-tron Sportback are produced, became the first volume production plant in the premium segment worldwide to be certified as CO2-neutral in 2018. In October this year, Audi's manufacturing facility in Gyor, Hungary, became the carmaker's second carbon-neutral site. In China, the carmaker aims to bring CO2 emissions of its production sites to zero by 2030, together with its Chinese joint venture FAW-Volkswagen. Eichhorn said the company has started to formulate detailed plans to achieve this target. To meet the goal, Audi is tapping the innovative spirit of "vorsprung", meaning progress in German, which has been an inextricable part of the carmaker's DNA for more than a century and has long been Audi's guiding motto. "Vorsprung will continue to drive us forward in our journey into this new electric era to become the leading carbon-neutral premium provider, here in China and around the world," Eichhorn said. "By applying our 'vorsprung' spirit to our decarbonization efforts. Audi is merging the new world of electric mobility with more than a century of experience in premium vehicle manufacturing."
