5 years of experience in law, medical, literature, TV/Film, Finance and, much more!
I am a published translator and I am currently pursuing my certification at the University of Arizona.
I have lived in South America, Mexico, and the U.S., and that has given me the advantage of having a solid knowledge of the colloquialisms in all these regions.
I am a motivated, life-loving person, and such is my passion for translation that I took the step of turning it into my career.
Before making the switch to my dream occupation, I worked as a legal assistant to Immigration and Criminal Defense attorneys for many years where, in addition to performing my clerical duties, I doubled as an interpreter and translator.
Working at law firms got me started in translation and interpretation. In fact, I was getting ready to resume my certification process with the state of Nevada to be a court interpreter when Covid happened and the courts decided to pause their interpreter testing until further notice.
I already passed the state's written exam, but getting certified as a court interpreter is on hold for now.
Legal translations are my specialty due to my experience in the field, but during these past 5 years, I have gained an enormous amount of knowledge in several different fields. I have translated thousands of documents ranging from fiction novels to applications to UNESCO on behalf of the Chilean government. I love what I do and it shows in the quality of my work.
