I have always been passionate about
studying and curious to expand my knowledge, something that I
continue doing even after many years of obtaining my qualifications.
I graduated in languages and
translation, my great passion since childhood, transmitted by my
grandmother who taught me to travel to learn new cultures and meet
new friends, which I am still in contact with today (the so-called
"Penfriends").
My other great passion has always been
helping others. So I graduated in Global Public Health at the
University of Copenhagen, the city where I live today. In particular,
I worked on issues concerning migration and the problems related to
it from a linguistic / interpretative point of view, writing my final
Master's thesis on the subject.
In Copenhagen I started collaborating
with Red Cross International, which allowed me to travel and
participae to different training courses throughout Europe, like
Political and Civic Education, and cultural mediation.
In 2021 I obtained a diploma at the
University of Glasgow in Interpreting for Refugees.
Throughout my education I had the
opportunity to live in South Africa, where I improved my level of
English (C2), and in India as a field researcher for the University
of Vellore. During my travels, I met my Argentinian husband and we
created our own multicultural family based in Denmark. Here I taught,
privately and at a volunteer center for asylum seekers, Italian,
English and Spanish, the latter a very familiar language as we travel
to Buenos Aires once a year to visit the rest of the family.
My life as an Italian mother abroad has
shaped my way of thinking and my way of relating to the problems
encountered on the path of daily life. Thanks to my experience as a
traveler, my professional studies and my multicultural family, I
discovered my resilience and my strengths, which allowed me to refine
and deepen my interests and create the person I am today.
I feel that my training is not
finished, I am always evolving and open to new challenges. In the
same way I feel I have reached the maturity and experience to be able
to offer my professionalism to people who will have confidence in me
and in my work.
