Bio
Lawyer with almost 10 years of experience in many fields, but mostly in civil, administrative and environmental law, and family rights. English and Japanese teacher. Japanese Literature teacher. Portuguese/English/Japanese translator, this being my current acting career. Experience with translation of literary texts, legal and jurisprudence, monographs, essays and academic articles in general, dictionaries, news etc. I initially started translating as a hobby, related to another hobby of mine (gaming). As such, I started translating English articles and reviews for Brazilian speakers in amateur sites and forums, and developed a keen interest in quality game localizations. But eventually, when I grew tired of my main career as a lawyer, a few translator gigs kind of fell in my lap, first as a lawyer, but then professionally as a freelancer translator, specially after I signed up to write some contracts for a small book publisher.
