Bio

I am a Croatian native speaker born in Dubrovnik who studied Russian and Latin language (and Russian and Roman literature) at the University of Zadar. While studying I also visited many foreign countries and met many people from different cultures who spoke different languages. In 2017 I attended World Festival of Youth and Students (which was then held in Sochi, Russia) and spent there around 10 days with other three of my student colleagues. In 2019, at my final semester I went on an Erasmus exchange in Tallinn, Estonia and spent there almost five months (one semester) before returning back to Croatia. I also visited Moscow (2 times, I loved it) and St. Petersburg. I loved meeting people from different countries and talking to them, learning more about their language and culture. Recently I completed Master's degree in Russian language and literature (January 2020). I also have a bachelor's degree in Latin language and Roman literature. I have not yet been working as a translator but I would like to start out at this page, as it was recommended to me to try it out. I have some experience translating texts within the course I took at the university that concerned translating literary texts from Russian to Croatian (one of the translated texts I enclosed at my page). To pass this course each student was required to present a 10 page translation portfolio, simulating real working conditions that a professional translator would have. The languages I am willing to work with are English (even though I did not study it, I consider myself proficient in English), Russian, and Croatian, of course. I am also willing to offer a service of translating subtitles for movies and TV series.
