Care is taken at the factory to keep your water softener clean and sanitary. However, during shipping, storage, installing and operating, bacteria could get into the unit. For this reason, sanitizing as follows is suggested* when installing.
a. Open the salt lid and pour about 40 ml (2 to 3 tablespoons) of common household bleach into the softener brine tank. Clorox, Linco, Bo Peep, White Sail, Eagle, etc., are brand names of bleach readily available.

As for middle managers, they run departments of a firm. They account to the senior management for their area of the work done.
There is a difference between executive directors and non-executive ones. The directors who run their firm on day-to-day basis are called executive directors. Those who sit on the Board and do not run the firm directly are called non-executive directors. In modern American English they use also the term inside directors for executive and outside directors for non-executive ones.

Що стосується керівників середнього рангу, то вони керують відділами фірми. Вони звітують перед вищим керівництвом за свою сферу діяльності.
Є різниця між виконавчими директорами та невиконавчими. Директори, які здійснюють управління фірмою щодня, називаються виконавчими директорами. Ті особи, що сидять у раді директорів та безпосередньо не здійснюють управління фірмою, називаються невиконавчими директорами. В сучасному американському варіанті англійської мови також використовується термін «inside directors» на позначення виконавчих директорів та термін «outside directors» на позначення невиконавчих директорів.
