Bio
I’m a writer, translator and a cultural content creator with specialisation in the Japanese classical era (Heian era 794 BC – 1185 AC), Kabuki, Noh theater and the contemporary art scene. Having lived in Paris for seven years, I’ve attended and studied many Japanese exhibitions from Araki Nobuyoshi to Takashi Murakami. I would definitely be interested in working with Japanese art creators, interviewing them and sharing their art and views with the world.I've recently graduated and am currently interested in translating Japanese literature. My academic years translating from Japanese to French and from French to Japanese have given me some insight and experience in the field. I was challenged by my school to translate historical texts from the 14th century to today's newspaper articles. I have also attended a lot of conferences in Japanese. One of the conferences that really inspired me was animated by the famous poet Machi Tawara, she talked about her inspirations and the future of tanka poetry. Her manner of presenting the future of literature in Japan made me realise how little we know about it in the west. I’m eager to translate and contribute to the sharing of the Japanese cultural and heritage.
