I am British born and educated although I spent much of my childhood in Italy, allowing me to learn Italian as a native speaker. I graduated with an MA 1st Class Hons in Italian and French, with a specialisation in translation studies and began my career at the European Union, as a member of their translation team, before later going freelance, specialising in academic, literary and business translations. I am also passionate about the process of language acquisition and cognitive development, with post graduate diplomas in Education and Linguistics. My knowledge in this field supports me strongly in my chosen career, allowing me to approach translations from both a linguistic and a psychological perspective.
