<B>Background</B>

I am a 100% native Croatian speaker with a master's degree in French language from the University of Zagreb, specialized in translation and interpretation. In 2019, I have lived and worked in France, where I have had the opportunity to advance my knowledge and fluency in French language. Throughout my studies, I have been given the opportunity to attend and complete a course in consecutive translation (French- Croatian).

I have completed my studies by writing a master's thesis in Terminology. In my work, I have, in addition to a 40- page translation and part dedicated to the theory of traductology and terminology, created a 50- page trilingual (Croatian- French- English) illustrated glossary on terms related to the domain of oil paintings. To successfully complete the glossary, I have, during one year of research, studied different glossaries, databases and scientific papers on the topic of chemistry (paints and varnishes, chemical compounds, pigments...), physics (techniques of analysis of paintings), art history, restoration and conservation.

 I have been learning English from an early age, and have always worked with native English speakers. I have also graduated high school with a diploma from a bilingual programme in English. In addition to French and English, I have obtained a C1 diploma in German language (Deutsches Sprachdiplom). At the moment, I am working on improving my skills in Italian language, which I have been learning for three years. 

I have also studied law and art history, and am an avid reader interested in a great number of topics, which has allowed me to expand my vocabulary. During my studies, I have worked as a freelance translator. As to volunteer work, I have been teaching French language to children for almost three years. It has helped me develop a strong work ethic and has motivated me further in my pursuit to devote my time to learning languages and sharing that knowledge with the community.
