Although I am still developing experience as a professional translator, my extensive multidisciplinary background, specialization in translation and life sciences, strong language skills, keen cultural awareness, and passion for connecting people through language make me a promising candidate for any kind of translation job.

My relevant qualifications include: I) a post-graduate degree in translation and proofreading of texts in English; II) a M.Sc degree in medical sciences; III) a B.Sc degree in biological sciences; IV) I pursued 2.5 years towards a PhD in Neuroscience at McGill University (Montreal, Canada), resulting in over 4,000 hours of laboratory experience using English in all contexts, such as classes, lectures, essays, exams, presentations, reports, budgets, and scientific papers. While living in Canada, I also gained firsthand cultural experience and language immersion.

As for my professional experience related to translation, I started working informally and sporadically as a translator of scientific papers in 2017, having translated texts from different fields, such as biology and odontology. Also, I have offered my services as a freelance subtitler for Rev.com since 2022, counting 102 projects (471 min.) so far. Being a freelance translator for Protranslate.Net since 2021, I have participated in some projects as a proofreader of Portuguese-English translations. At last, I have been teaching English as a side job since 2021.

Regarding my significant skills, I have an excellent grasp of written and verbal Portuguese (BR) and English. My French and Spanish are intermediate, and I have been learning Italian. Due to my scientific background, I have professional research skills, keen attention to detail, and a meticulous approach to translating.
