Bio

I'm a legal translator accredited by the Palestinian Ministry of Justice. I can translate and edit all kinds of documents accurately. I love my work and I do it with flying colors. I'm experienced translator at my home town and receive acclamation by the people whom I am dealing with regarding my translation work. I seek to extend my work and offer my services internationally. I would like to have the chance to show my skills in translation on a platform like this one, and to exchange experience, language, and culture with people from different backgrounds because this job is not just about money, it opens new doors to see the world from a new perspective

I possess a bachelor degree of English major from Hebron University, in addition to a master degree of educational administration from Al-Quds University. I further hold a sworn translator certificate accredited by the Ministry of Justice.

As regards my work experience, I have been belonging to the translation industry for over seven years, during which I produced translated versions that are more like pieces of art. I started my career as an assistant translator working for a senior translator. I then opened the door for receiving my own work, which at that time was limited to college students, whom I helped doing research and translating their master thesis. Afterwards, I have joined work with a translation provider based in Dubai (Al-Diwan Legal Translation), specializing mainly in legal and economic translation, and sometimes marketing-related documents. During the same period, I was promoted to work with the company with which the senior translator I used to receive work from serves, that is Beyond Words, a company located in Washington, DC. With this company, I translated humanitarian, educational, and political documents in favor of the State Department, Amideast (Access Program, Hope Fund, Fulbright…etc), and Near East South Asia Centre. Afterwards, I have received tremendous offers from international companies and organizations for both short term and long term collaboration, including Andovar, New Fantex Technology, BH Localization, Needs-Translation, Tomedes, The Language Doctors…etc. I also work as a freelancer for law firms in Gulf region, and as translator, reviewer, and editor for publishing houses in Amman, Jordan. Furthermore, I summarize and translate historical, ethical, and medical books for several clients. Among the most significant achievements I made in translation is that I have translated Saudi Advocacy Law, UAE Labor Law, and the Regulation of UAE Trademarks Law. My skills related to translation include proficiency in using CAT Tools, such as Trados and MemoQ, using which I have translated comic books for children.

Additionally, I work as a local interpreter for conferences, zoom meetings, and events. During my work as an interpreter, I had the chance to meet the President of the World Bank, David Malpass. Meanwhile, I’m sharpening my content writing skills to excel in this field; I aspire to make my own writing come to light and be published internationally.

Other than translation, I have worked as a high school students’ English teacher for two years, and as an online Arabic teacher for non-Arabic speakers through Yallatalk, a start-up for teaching Arabic.

This was a brief of my accomplishments and journey in the translation profession, which I would love to develop and enhance by working with your company. I’m not that show-off person, but I can affirm that I have all what this vacancy needs and even more. However, if you think that my experience does not match the criteria for this position, there is no harm if you choose me, as I once read that you will never know how much experience a person has unless you hire him. It was a pleasure writing to you, and it would be more of a pleasure if I heard from you soon and got the job.
