Gerard Piqué cerró la goleada del FC Barcelona ante el Olympique de Lyon (5-1), que clasifica a los azulgranas para cuartos de final de la Champions League.
“¿Estás orgulloso de que seamos los únicos españoles en estar en cuartos?”, preguntó el defensa tras el partido a un periodista. Ante la reticencia inicial de este a responderle, Piqué le insistió, siempre sonriendo: “¿Lo estás o no? ¿Lo estás?." El periodista, al fin, le dijo: “A mí me hace ilusión que siempre haya equipos españoles”, y Piqué zanjó: “Eso está bien”.
Sobre el partido, Piqué señaló: "Estoy muy contento por nosotros. Al final, independientemente de lo que hagan los demás, estamos ahí, en cuartos otra vez y vivos en las tres competiciones a mitad de marzo. Es el objetivo que siempre nos ponemos a principio de temporada".
Respecto a los ocho equipos que este viernes estarán en el sorteo de cuartos de final, comentó: "Los que hay han pasado porque eran mejores que los que han quedado eliminados, y ahora mismo te diría que bastantes equipos pueden optar al título".
Jordi Alba: “En algunas zonas de España se nos da poco valor”
También pasó por la zona mixta Jordi Alba, que en declaraciones a las radios lamentó que "desde algunas zonas de España se da poco valor a lo que hace" el Barcelona. “No creo que sean todos los que no nos valoran, pero en una temporada mala como la de algún rival, que ya sabéis, a nosotros nos hubieran dado por todos los lados", opinó.
"Siempre tenemos en cuenta a todos los rivales, pero sí que es verdad que este año han caído equipos que a priori eran favoritos y sabíamos que eran resultados muy dudosos. Lo importante era ganar y tener tranquilidad", añadió el lateral.

Concerning the eight teams still in the competition, he commented, “Those remaining have qualified because they are better than those that have been eliminated, and now I would say that there are quite a few teams that could go for the title.”
Jordi Alba: “In some parts of Spain we aren’t valued very highly.”
Also in the interview area was Jordi Alba who, in a statement, complained that, “In some parts of Spain what Barcelona does isn’t valued very highly. I don’t think it’s everybody that doesn’t value us, but in a season that’s been bad for a certain rival, you know who I mean, well if that were us, they would have given it to us from all sides.”
“We always take into account every one of our rivals, but this year it’s true that teams that were previously favourites have been eliminated and we knew that there were some very dubious results. The important thing for us was to win and have peace of mind,” added the winger.

Source text - Spanish PREOCUPACIONES, MIEDOS E INSEGURIDADES EN EL MUNDO DE LA TRADUCCIÓN. ¿LOS TENEMOS TODOS?
Muchos de los traductores trabajamos en solitario en nuestra casa. Quizá tenemos un leve contacto con nuestros colegas de la profesión, pero no creo que sea algo constante, del día a día. Aunque no todos tengamos nuestra manera de trabajar y de traducir, coincidimos en muchos aspectos: los miedos e inseguridades que nos puede generar la traducción. ¿Tenemos todos estos miedos e inseguridades? Echemos un vistazo a algunos problemas que hemos recopilado.
No habrá siguiente proyecto
Quizá más de lo que pensamos, todos los traductores suelen temer que no aparecerá un siguiente proyecto. Esto es totalmente irracional y difícil de explicar. Siempre habrá un siguiente proyecto; pero me refiero al periodo de tiempo entre finalizar una traducción hasta la llegada de un nuevo proyecto. Si pasamos tres días sin un proyecto, nos ponemos paranoicos. Por nuestras mentes hay una frase que no para de repetirse inconscientemente: «qué pasaría si». Después, por supuesto que nos reímos de nosotros mismos cuando aparecen tres nuevos proyectos a la vez.
No soy suficientemente bueno
Esta duda constante y la búsqueda de la perfección pueden ser, por supuesto, buenas. La mayoría de nosotros somos perfeccionistas y en una profesión como la traducción, dudar es una señal generalmente buena el dudar. Nos gustaría poder decir que, con el tiempo, estos miedos e inseguridades desaparecen. Sin embargo, creemos que solo disminuyen y acompaña a todos los traductores a lo largo de su carrera. Nuestra arma para combatirlos era realizar todas las pruebas y obtener todos los títulos posibles para utilizarlos como argumentos contra todas mis dudas. Sin embargo, después empezamos a pensar: «vale, fuimos buenos para este proyecto, pero este es una cosa completamente nueva…¿Qué pasa si no somos lo suficientemente buenos para ello?» ¿Hay alguna posibilidad de salir de esta duda?
Translation - English WORRIES, FEARS AND INSECURITIES IN THE WORLD OF TRANSLATION. DO WE ALL HAVE THEM?
As translators, many of us work alone at home. Maybe we have a little contact with our professional colleagues, but I do not think it is something constantly happening on a daily basis. Although we have different ways of working and translating, we all agree on the fears and insecurities that translation can generate. Do we all have these fears and insecurities? Let's look at some problems that we have collected.
There will be no next project
Perhaps more than we think, all translators tend to fear that a next project will not appear. This is totally irrational and difficult to explain. There will always be a next project; but I am referring to the period of time between finishing a translation and the arrival of a new project. If we spend three days without a project, we get paranoid. Through our minds there is a phrase that does not stop repeating itself unconsciously, "what would happen if"? Then, of course, we laugh at ourselves when three new projects appear at once.
I am not good enough
This constant doubt and the search for perfection can, of course, be good. Most of us are perfectionists and in a profession like translation, doubting is generally a good indication to change our mind. We would like to be able to say that, over time, these fears and insecurities will disappear. However, we believe that they only lessen and will accompany all translators throughout their career. Our weapon to fight them was to take examinations and obtain all the qualifications possible in order to use as justification against all doubts. However, later we began to think, "OK, we were good for that project, but now this is something completely new. "What happens if we're not good enough? Is there any chance of getting rid of the doubt?

Bio
I'm a translator working in the Spanish to English language pair. Although I specialize in travel and tourism and sport, I also have experience in translating texts in the fields of history, food and drink, music, culture and the news. I am a member of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting (ITI) and the Chartered Institute of Linguists (CIOL). I have a First Class Honours Degree in Spanish and History with the Open University and I have recently finished studying for the third and final module of my MA in Translation, also with the OU, which I loved. I have been translating for a number of years and I am very passionate about what I do. I’m adaptable, conscientious, efficient and have a lucid eye for detail.
Furthermore, I am a keen writer and write content in English. Most of my work is travel writing and I am currently writing a series, Diary of a Backpacker. I also write about the translation industry, football, history and current affairs, amongst other things. I have also completed a 3 part course with the Society of Editors and Proofreaders in proofreading and offer this as an additional service.
