I'm a native Mandarin speaker and I have a high level in English, particularly in academic and professional English (IELTS 8, TOEIC 970) .
I have lots of experiences translating for private companies (health technology & information technology) , museums (fashion, art & music) , festivals (Taipei Film Festival, Taipei International Art Festival), NGOs (Amnesty International, Eden Social Welfare Foundation & Taiwan-Russia Association for Scientific Collaboration) , and government-funded projects.
With my proficiency in both Mandarin and English, I can easily deliver professional and grammatically-correct pieces that are easy to read. Having majored in Chinese literature and written extensively in academic Mandarin, I can also write in any style on demand. I also have experience creating contents for the social media accounts of a Russian restaurant in both English and Mandarin.
I went to Barcelona and Munich for exchange for six months respectively. During my semester in Autonomous University of Barcelona, I studied at the translation and interpretation department. Apart from Spanish language course, I also enrolled in the course of translation from Spanish to Mandarin. In Munich, I was a guest student at the Film and Television University of Munich. I participated in courses that were only taught in German such as Film History and Space and Light for Documentary Films.
Now I'm a freelancer based in Taipei, doing translation, sales and marketing, and administrative work for a few international businesses across the world. From Latin America to Russia, I'm highly adaptable to working with anyone from any cultural background. I'm always open to communication and I learn fast. |
