After living in Bucharest and Berlin I have moved to the Romanian countryside a couple of years ago. Here I am trying to develop a project related to local crafts and traditions. But it takes time until things start moving. Therefore I am currently looking for alternative ways of earning an income by working at home doing translations. I will list here some of the reasons why I am suitable as a translator for Romanian – German - English: * am native Romanian, but practical almost bilingual (whole education since kindergarten in German, worked in Germany, incl. in German institutions); * over 8 years of translations experience: Although I have never been hired directly as a translator, German and English have been the maing working languages and translations have always been a big part of my work. I have been working and translating in various sectors (commerce, government institutions, NGOs, real estate; technical, legal translations etc.) which makes me a highly qualified translator and proofreader;
Regarding my professional experience, I have been working both in Romanian and German companies, in government institutions and NGOs. I have been acting as a contact person for a German government institution with its Romanian partners, I have done a lot of research in various fields, given recommendations for further activities and overall ongoing support with the company’s activities. For the past year I have been working online as a project associate doing data analysis and processing for German companies, both in German and in English. |
