Hi !

I currently live in Limoges , in france, where I'm studying "english litterature and civilization"at the university. I'm in my third year, and only one year away from a masters degree in that field. I was born in France, but I lived in Des Moines, Iowa (USA) for 6 or 7 years, which is the state where my mother comes from. So I basically grew up speaking both languages, so I've always been naturally drawn to languages and linguistics in general. Furthermore, I've always been fond of english, american and french litterature throughout the ages, so my proficiency in both english and french kept growing.

I also like to keep track of the news, and like to read scientific, political and economics studies. My english and french proficiency isn't limited to litterature only, as I've been practicing my translation skills on a wide variety of texts and subjects.

I took german and spanish classes in high school(for six and four years respectively) , and was usually in the top five best students of the class . But I wouldn't say that my german and spanish speaking abilities  are on par with my french and english abilities. Regarding these two languages, I think I can easily translate from them to english or french, but not the other way around unfortunately, as my general knowledge of idioms and specific expressions might be insufficient in these two languages.

I think I've summed up the most important aspects of my translation skillset, and I'm looking forward to working on any translation work that fits my description.
