Translator Spanish/English Language Instructor Foreign and Second Language I am a Spanish/English Translator and a Linguist who has been providing translation into my native language as well as my second language for over three and a half years. I have a Master’s Degree in Linguistics as well as a Master’s in Spanish Language and Literature. In addition, I am currently enrolled in the Translation and Interpretation Certification Program, University of California, San Diego Extension with plans to pursue my certification in the American Translator’s Association upon completion of the program. My specializations include documents in education such as individual education plans, professional development materials, language evaluations and examinations, as well as linguistics, dialectology, phonology, and linguistic change. I have also done work in culture, history, politics, and literature, especially documents pertaining to or related to Argentina. I recently have done more work in legal as well: corporate contracts, purchase and rental agreements, and criminal plea agreements. Identification documents and education transcripts also are part of my regular workload.
I am a Spanish and English language instructor with 9 years experience teaching in both the foreign language and second language contexts. I am communicatively focused with excellent interactive task skills. I am effective at building rapport with my students while building student motivation in a challenging environment.
