2007 - 2010: BA in Language and Cultural Mediation at Ca' Foscari University, Venice 2010 - 2013: MA in Translation and Interpreting at Ca'Foscari University, Venice 2012 - 2013: visiting student at the Department of Chinese Literature at Fudan University with a scholarship granted by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affair 2013 - present: Ph.D. student at Fudan University, majoring in Contemporary Chinese Literature with a full scholarship granted by Shanghai City Government. As a child, I would stare in admiration to my father as he spoke fluently with foreign clients and friends he invited at our place to share a typical Italian dinner, while I played with their children in the esperanto language of childhood. I guess that is where my passion for languages comes from. I then started with English and German during high school and decided to turn my life upside down choosing Chinese as my major at university. Little I knew back then what terrific experiences would this language and that country bring to me. I travelled China far and wide and made it my second home. After moving to Shanghai for the scholarship in 2012, I started my career as freelance interpreter and translator working for several companies and institution based in Shanghai and Italy, especially in the fashion and F&B sector. I wanted to make Chinese language and culture comprehensible to those who could not speak it, I wanted to create an intellegible dialogue. Among my clients: The Blenders Communication, Moschino, Massimo Bottura for 10 Corso Como, Italian Consulate in Shanghai, ADIS (Association of Italian Women in Shanghai), Ferrero, Lino Tagliapietra for Shanghai Liuli Museum, Confucius Institute in Milan (interpreter for Chinese authors such as Feng Tang and Yan Lianke) |
