Born in Spain to a Spanish father and an English mother, I was raised in a multilingual home, regularly switching from Spanish to English. My love for languages started at a very early age when I decided to master the language I thought was the most exotic: Japanese. After studying Industrial Engineering at University for three years, I decided to follow my passion for languages and switch to a Translation degree. I'm currently in my third year of said degree. I've worked for Last Chance Animal Rescue, an English run charity based in Spain, as an assistant manager as well as a translator for a year and a half. I've also been Production assistant for EuroWeekly News, an English newspaper based in Spain. I have experience translating: - news articles
- comics
- subtitling
- literary work
- texts of legal and bureaucratic nature
I'm currently translating the manga series Colette wa shinu koto ni shita for the scanlation group Nozomi Scanlation. I've also translated Gajumaru Haato by Tetsuya Koja. I'm also studying Swedish, French and Spanish Sign Language (LSE). |
