Based in Mexico City with roots in Sweden, I’m a freelance literary translator, editor and cultural producer since 2016, working under the label petzetera texts & other texts. I’m bilingual Spanish-Swedish, although I mainly translate into Spanish. I have a Master in Spanish Language and Hispanic Literature from Lund University, where I taught Spanish and Latin American literature and culture for more than eight years between 2005 and 2014. I spend my time and my work between Sweden and Mexico.
As a translator and editor, I concentrate on translating literature and general texts in the fields of culture and the arts, society, food, travel, etc. in the pairs of Swedish-Spanish, English-Spanish, and English-Swedish.
I also give workshops on literary translation, where I more than once have started projects of collective translations. In 2017, I was co-founder of Nordic multilingual literature project NOXLit Nordic Exchange in Literature, a project dedicated to showcase the multilingual dimension in Nordic Literature and to introduce international literature in the Nordic region. In 2020, together with my husband and a friend, I founded an online school for creative writing, NOX Escuela de Escritura Creativa, based in Mexico City, for which I’m currently Co-Director and General Coordinator. The school, which collaborates with Facultad de Letras Españolas at Universidad Veracruzana (Mexico), offers online laboratories in creative writing with some of Mexico’s most renowned writers in different genres, as well as editorial services.
