In aktuellen Statistiken des Buchhandels ist nachzulesen, dass der Krimi der Deutschen zweitliebstes Literaturfach nach den klassischen belletristischen Romanen ist. Fast ein Viertel der jährlich auf dem deutschen Buchmarkt erscheinenden Bücher sind der Kriminalliteratur zuzuordnen - Thriller, Detektivgeschichten, Krimis. Jedoch kommt von dieser Masse an Büchern ein verschwindend geringer Teil aus deutschen Landen. Tatsächlich wird der absolute Großteil der spannenden Lektüre aus dem englischsprachigen Raum importiert und übersetzt.
Bei dem geringen Anteil an deutscher Kriminalliteratur auf dem Markt nimmt der Regionalkrimi eine dominierende Stellung ein. Wenn der deutsche Krimileser also eigentlich ohnehin ausländische Bücher bevorzugt, was ist es dann, das gerade den Regionalkrimi so erfolgreich macht?

As estatísticas recentes do mercado editorial mostram que os romances policiais são o segundo ramo da literatura preferido entre os alemães, ficando somente atrás dos romances clássicos. Cerca de um quarto dos livros lançados anualmente no mercado literário alemão pode ser classificado como literatura policial – Thrillers, histórias de detetives, romances policiais. Entretanto, desse volume de livros, pouquíssimos vêm da Alemanha. De fato, o maior número dessas instigantes leituras é importado e traduzido do inglês.

Der Kaspar, der war kerngesund,
Ein dicker Bub und kugelrund,
Er hatte Backen rot und frisch;
Die Suppe aß er hübsch bei Tisch.
Doch einmal fing er an zu schrei’n:
„Ich esse keine Suppe! Nein!
Ich esse meine Suppe nicht!
Nein, meine Suppe ess’ ich nicht!“
Am nächsten Tag, — ja sieh nur her!
Da war er schon viel magerer.
Da fing er wieder an zu schrei’n:
„Ich esse keine Suppe! Nein!
Ich esse meine Suppe nicht!
Nein, meine Suppe ess’ ich nicht!“
Am dritten Tag, o weh und ach!
Wie ist der Kaspar dünn und schwach!

Bio
I hold a Bachelor and Teaching degree in German and Portuguese Studies (2011) from São Paulo State University (Unesp) in Araraquara, São Paulo, Brazil. I’m a certified German speaker at intermediate (B2 level) by Goethe Institut, and have the same level of proficiency in English.
My personal interests are music, literature (specially thrillers), games, travel and psychology. I’m looking forward to having more experience in such fields.
As a full-time translator, beginning in 2018, I have worked on five books (short stories and romance for teenagers).
I also have worked on the Brazilian Portuguese subtitles of films from Film Festivals held by Instituto 54, as well as on subtitles of speeches from English and German into Brazilian Portuguese, via Salut Traduções.
Another project in which I have worked was subtitling the Brazilian Portuguese subtitles of the first season of Monogamish (Seitentriebe), which was broadcast on SundanceTV, via Adapta Traduções. I also take part in TED translators' volunteer group, as listed below.
The automotive field is another field in which I am experienced. For 2 years, I have worked on the translation of technical manuals from English and German into Brazilian Portuguese.
