I am a native speaker of U.S. English as well as an award-winning opera singer, voice talent, and published writer with over 40 published translations of books and graphic novels for adults and children. "California Dreamin': Cass Elliot Before The Mamas & the Papas (my translation) was chosen to be in the 2018 YALSA Great Graphic Novels for Teens, and I'm the translator for the much-loved Geronimo Stilton Graphic Novels series for children, as well as a number of other children's series. My nonfiction and fiction articles for children and adults have appeared in national and regional magazines as well as e-journals.
A voting member of the Recording Academy, I have a fourth CD coming out in 2018 (all on Centaur); my third, "Surviving: Women's Words" (new settings of poetry by women Holocaust survivors) won a Silver Medal in the Global Music Awards, with my first, "Fabulous Femmes" (chamber music by women composers of the 19th and 20th centuries), on Centaur Records went into its second pressing in 2007. My second CD, with the Baroque Vinaccesi Ensemble, of solo Italian cantatas from the early 18th century was released in 2013. Language study at Cornell University, Goethe Institute, & U.C. Berkeley.
