English to Spanish: The Emotional Life of Your Brain by Richard J. Davidson General field: Science
Source text - English Over the course of my career as a neuroscientist, I’ve seen thousands of people who share
similar backgrounds respond in dramatically different ways to the same life event.
Some are
resilient in the face of stress, for instance, while others fall apart. The latter become anxious, depressed, or unable to function when they encounter adversity.
Resilient people are somehow able not only to withstand but to benefit from certain kinds of stressful events and to turn that adversity into advantage.
This, in a nutshell, is the puzzle that has driven my research. I’ve wanted to know what determines how someone reacts to a divorce, to the death of a loved one, to the loss of a job, or to any other setback—and, equally, what determines how people react to a career triumph, to winning the heart of their true love, to realizing a friend will walk over coals for them, or to other sources of happiness.
Why and how do people differ so widely in their emotional responses to the ups and downs of life?
The answer that has emerged from my own work is that different people have different Emotional Styles.

I help entrepreneurs connect with their audience and understand their needs and wants. I help them understand what they say and mean. I translate beyond words, I go for the meaning and intention on what it is said and the context where it is placed.
I love translating into my native language (Spanish) and enjoy improving my English skills. And I stay on my lane, on what I know: Spanish as native language and English as second language.
Having independence at work is utterly important, therefore I have developed a strong feedback receiving attitude and reliable work ethic. Holding myself accountable for work (and for life) is essential to grow, as I want to be the best at what I do.
My Bachelor is in Science with two Majors: Theoretical and Medical Physics with work experience on both fields. Also, I have gone beyond, I have done Theatre and Music studies in English as well. Currently I am travelling over Australia and New Zealand. All these experiences are refining my skills and vision of what I want and how can I use my strenghts in integrity with my values. Therefore, I have decided to start translating online.
I would love to know, how can I help you grow your project?
