The tremendous growth of Marquard & Bahls over the last years is a great success story. Our company is now recognised as a key market player on a global scale. This good standing is primarily grounded on the determination and commitment of our people. Marquard & Bahls is recognised as a reliable, trustworthy and fair business partner. Consequently, this reputation represents a key asset that must be safeguarded.
As our organisation continues to take in new people, we are faced with the challenge of providing basic principles of what we stand for and how we should behave when interacting with others. This Code of Conduct (hereinafter referred to as 'the Code') seeks to promote high standards of integrity and honesty within all the companies comprising the Marquard & Bahls Group (hereinafter also referred to as 'the Group') by defining acceptable behaviour. The following principles were developed on the basis of fundamental social ethics which should represent a matter of course to every organisational member. As the overall guideline, we have included our vision & mission which together with the values and priorities outline the nature of our company.
This Code is - without exception – binding on all employees. The management should be leading examples in compliance with the Code.
This Code does not seek to synchronise or control people's behaviour; the individuality of our people is one of the reasons why we are successful. However, it is important to understand that we must define nominal standards of behaviour in order to protect our reputation and financial viability. All principles laid out in this Code are aimed at creating fair, just and transparent relations between the stakeholders and they are aimed to guide our daily activities and decisions.
Please read the Code carefully and let your behaviour be a valuable contribution to the success of our company. We rely on your support and thank each of you for the important work you do every day.

إن النمو الهائل الذي حققته (ماركوارد و باهلز) على مدى السنوات الأخيرة يمثل قصة نجاح عظيمة. حيث إن شركتنا قد أصبحت معروفة الآن بأنها الرائد الرئيسي في السوق على النطاق العالمي. ويعتمد هذا الوضع الجيد في المقام الأول على تصميم أفرادنا والتزامهم. إن شركة (ماركوارد و باهلز) معروفة بأنها شريك تجاري يعتمد عليه وجدير بالثقة ونزيه,وعليه فإن هذه السمعة تمثل الأصول الرئيسية التي يجب الحفاظ عليها.
وحيث إن مؤسستنا تواصل سعيها في البحث عن أشخاص جدد، فقد واجهنا تحدي متمثل في توفير المبادئ الأساسية التي نسير على نهجها وكيف ينبغي أن نتصرف عند التعامل مع الآخرين. ويتطلع ميثاق السلوك المهني هذا (المشار إليه هنا فيما بعد بـلفظ ’الميثاق‘) إلى تعزيز مستويات عالية من النزاهة والمصداقية ضمن جميع الشركات التي تتألف منها مجموعة (ماركوارد و باهلز) (المشار إليها هنا أيضاً فيما بعد بـلفظ ’المجموعة‘) وذلك من خلال تحديد السلوك المقبول. وقد تم وضع المبادئ التالية على أساس من الأخلاق الاجتماعية الأساسية التي ينبغي أن تمثل بطبيعة الحال كل عضو في المؤسسة. وكمبدأ توجيهي عام, فقد أدمجنا رؤيتنا ومهمتنا مع قيمنا وأولوياتنا كخطوط عريضة لطبيعة عمل شركتنا.
ويعتبر هذا الميثاق مُلزم لجميع الموظفين وبدون إستثناء ويجب على الإدارة أن تكون خير مثال يحُتذا به بالإلتزام بهذا الميثاق.
إن هذا الميثاق لا يهدف إلى توحيد سلوكيات الأفراد أو السيطرة عليها، بل إن الشخصية الفردية لجميع موظفينا هي أحد أسباب نجاحنا. ومع ذلك، فمن الهام أن نفهم أنه من الواجب علينا تحديد المعايير الإسمية للسلوك من أجل حماية سمعتنا وصلاحيتنا المالية. إن جميع المبادئ المتضمنة في هذا الميثاق تهدف إلى إنشاء علاقة نزيهة، وعادلة، وشفافة بين أصحاب المصلحة، وتهدف أيضاً إلى توجيه أنشطتنا وقراراتنا اليومية.
