Source text - English The notifying party may start an informal consultation with the GVH already prior to the filing of the notification form.
Once an application is filed, the GVH’s case handlers in the Merger Unit examine the notification form and the supporting evidence. The application shall contain all the facts and data necessary for the assessment of the case. If the GVH requires more information it may return the application within 15 calendar days of receipt with the request that additional information be supplied within a certain period of time. The deadline for providing the requested information may be extended once, where justified, at the request of the applicant prior to the expiry of the deadline.
In the case of both Phase I and Phase II investigations, the procedure in the GVH is divided into two stages: the investigation procedure, ending with completion of the case handler’s report; and the procedure of the Competition Council.
Phase I investigation
Following the receipt of the complete application, the case handler prepares a report with a proposal relating to the future course of the proceeding and interim measures if appropriate. Thereafter the Competition Council, which has the sole power to decide on the merits of the case, will make its decision on the basis of the case handler’s report. The GVH has to decide at the end of Phase I whether the transaction is cleared during this phase (ie, during Phase I) or whether a second phase (Phase II) will be opened.
Phase II investigation
In more complex cases, as defined in the applicable notice of the GVH on the differentiation between Phase I and Phase II cases, the GVH requires more time to investigate the relevant markets and the possible effects of the transaction, involving the assessment of various units within the GVH (such as the chief economist’s team, other offices, etc). The final decision of the Competition Council (the GVH) is then issued within a longer waiting period.

Ezt követően a Versenytanács, amelynek kizárólagos joga, hogy az üggyel kapcsolatban érdemi döntést hozzon, meghozza döntését az ügyintéző jelentése alapján. Az első fázis végén a GVH-nak el kell döntenie, hogy az ügylet engedélyezésre kerül-e ebben a fázisban (azaz az első fázisban), vagy hogy egy második fázisú eljárás elindításra kerül-e.
Második fázisú eljárás
Az összetettebb esetekben - ahogy a GVH megfelelő közleményében az első és második fázisú ügyek megkülönböztetése meghatározásra került – a GVH-nak több időre van szüksége a megfelelő piacok vizsgálatára, valamit az ügylet lehetséges hatásainak elemzésére, amely magában foglalja a GVH különböző részlegei által készített elemzéseket (úgymint a vezető közgazdász csoportjáét, más irodákét stb.). A Versenytanács (a GVH) végleges döntése így tehát hosszabb várakozási idő után születik meg.

I am a native speaker of Hungarian and I have lived and worked in the United Kingdom for 7 years. During that time I worked as a Personal Assistant / Executive Assistant at various prestigious organisations (e.g. the Cambridge City Council, the Cambridgeshire County Council and the University of Cambridge) and also gained many professional qualifications. In the same time I have also finished my studies at a Hungarian college (with e-learning) and obtained a BSc degree in Economics.
As I have always been very passionate about learning English I have continuously improved my language skills. With regards to my language-related qualifications I have passed the CPE (Certificate of Proficiency in English) exam in Cambridge (UK) in 2014. I am very proud of this achievement as the CPE is the highest level exam in the Cambridge English range.
Translating various texts has always been my hobby. A couple of years ago I have started to translate documents for family and friends and then I have started to do this as a freelancer in my freetime. I am usually translating business-related documents, correspondence, contracts and various articles. I am also familiar with the fields of economics, marketing, finance, law, politics, local and central government, trade and commerce, tourism, culture, food and beverages, telecommunications, environment, agriculture, education and music.
