I was born in Cairo, Egypt to an Egyptian father and a French mother. I went to the German School in Cairo, where I graduated native- level fluency in both spoken and written English, French and German. I proceeded to go to the American University in Cairo, where I graduated Magna Cum Laude.
Come the 2011 uprising and journalists came from all over the world looking for translators. I spent three years translating and interpreting for them. Before that I was an interpreter at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Cairo.
