I have been translating texts on contemporary art, architecture, design, music, and sports (mainly soccer) since 1997. My work in these areas occasionally takes me into legal, medical, and technical territory as well (e.g. artists' contracts, sports medicine articles, and engineering specs for public artworks).

I hold a postgraduate Diplom (MFA equivalent) in interdisciplinary art and design. I also work occasionally as a freelance writer (in English) and fairly steadily as a copyeditor (English again, though the texts I edit are often written by non-native speakers). For translation, I generally charge from $0.13 to $0.15 per word in the target language, depending on difficulty and urgency.

Clients and authors include Stefka Ammon, anschlaege.de, Serge Baghdassarians and Boris Baltschun, Patrick Hahn, HfG Karlsruhe, Jenny Holzer, Heike Klussmann / Bau Kunst Erfinden, Achim Lengerer, MVD Austria, Oper Stuttgart, Thomas and Renée Rapedius, Sabine Sanio, Stedefreund, Vera Tollmann, Wladimir Velminski, and the ZKM | Center for Art and Media Karlsruhe. I also translated nearly every article in Success in Soccer from its start in 1997 until it ceased publication in 2014.
