I am a qualified translator, editor and proofreader based in Bristol, United Kingdom.
I have a degree in French and Latin from Oxford University, a Masters in Translation and Professional Language Skills from Bath University (distinction) and I also hold the CIOL Dip Trans, passing the General, Law and Literature papers with merit.
I worked for ten years as a lawyer before becoming a translator. Although I specialised in tax and private client work, I have broad experience in property and commercial work, contract drafting, commercial litigation and employment. My work on international transactions has exposed me to the legal systems in a number of Francophone countries, including France, Switzerland, Belgium and Luxembourg.
I work in a variety of other areas, including sport, tourism and music.
I am an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists. |
