Source text - English Throughout the hike I chat with Roman about All Things Consequential, marveling as I often do that a span of twenty years can disappear when two people connect. I find him to be particularly interesting, well-educated and very well-raised. Watching the way he and his brother show affection to their mother through frequent hugs, placing arms around her shoulders and interacting with her in a genuine fashion increases my own sense of isolation deep inside. I hope my feelings are not apparent, and even as I appreciate the love shared between this trio I crush my own sense of isolation deep down, burying it underneath my appreciation for this day.
Also on our tour are two young Australian men who are sailing around the world. Josh purchased a sailboat in Florida, where Joe joined him to help him sail to Guatemala. They've docked for the time being and are backpacking Guatemala through El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama. Three Israelis are with us as well and I get a small chance to practice my nearly forgotten and once-fledgling Hebrew skills. Translation - Spanish Mientras ascendíamos, charlé con Román sobre "Las consecuencias de todas las cosas", maravillándome de nuevo al ver cómo un lapso de veinte años desaparece cuando dos personas conectan. Lo encuentro especialmente interesante, amable y bien educado. El ver cómo ambos hermanos se muestran afectuosos con su madre abrazándola frecuentemente, posándole el brazo alrededor de sus hombros y hablando con ella de forma totalmente sincera, no hace sino incrementar la sensación de soledad que hay de mí. Espero que mis sentimientos no resulten evidentes, y a pesar de que aprecio el amor que se comparte el trío, empujo mi soledad hacia dentro, enterrándola bajo mi gratitud hacia este día.
En este viaje también hay dos australianos que están navegando alrededor del mundo. Josh compró un barco de vela en Florida, donde Joe se unió a él para ayudarle a navegar por Guatemala.
