1. Introducción
La FEDI-CV es una entidad sin ánimo de lucro potenciadora de la práctica del deporte para las personas con discapacidad intelectual en la Comunidad Valenciana.
Nuestra finalidad es demostrar los beneficios que la práctica deportiva tiene para su calidad de vida, en todos los ámbitos: salud física, emocional y social.
La FEDI-CV es la única federación autonómica reconocida por la Generalitat Valenciana que trabaja por el fomento del deporte para personas con discapacidad intelectual. Nuestros objetivos se concentran en:
La organización de eventos deportivos autonómicos, nacionales e internacionales,
La puesta en marcha de escuelas deportivas autonómicas
Programas de tecnificación de deportistas
Formación de técnicos
Conferencias deportivas dirigidas a las familias de los deportistas.
Para dar cobertura a todos nuestros objetivos necesitamos recursos y apoyos de entidades públicas y privadas para la mejora de nuestros servicios, para poder incrementar el número de desplazamientos, el número de escuelas para nuestros deportistas, así como su participación en los diferentes eventos deportivos.
Y, además, hacer que todo este esfuerzo sea reconocido y valorado por la sociedad a través de su difusión en los medios de comunicación.
Queremos, por tanto, aprovechar la oportunidad que ofrece Obra Social Caixa Galicia, que a través de las diferentes convocatorias de ayudas,
presenta una muy importante y necesaria para nuestros deportistas, que es la posibilidad de contar con un trasporte propio de la federación que nos facilite los desplazamientos para poder participar en todos los eventos deportivos.
2- QUIENES SOMOS
La FEDI CV Federació d´Esports per a persones amb Discapacitat Intel.lectual de la Comunitat Valenciana, es una organización sin ánimo de lucro, que tiene como finalidad promover y desarrollar el deporte para personas con discapacidad intelectual en su ámbito territorial de actuación.
Creada el 22 de Julio de 1998, se encuentra inscrita en el Registro General de Federaciones con el Nº 56 de la SECCION 2º.de la Generalitat Valenciana, ( Consell Valenciá de l´Esport)
Consideramos la actividad física y el deporte como un derecho que todo ciudadano debe tener la oportunidad de disfrutar, independientemente de su condición social, condición mental y que ningún tipo de discapacidad por la que pueda verse afectado puedan privarle de poder ejercer este derecho
Hoy día la practica deportiva dentro de las personas con discapacidad intelectual, no solo consigue aportarle beneficios en cuanto al deporte se refiere como puede ser la mejora de las capacidades psicomotrices, mejora de las condiciones físicas, de la salud, la autoestima personal…
sino que es un medio por el cual estas personas con discapacidad intelectual van a utilizar para ayudarles en el día a día de sus vidas, y conseguir una mayor calidad de vida, en aspectos como la integración social, aumento de su autonomía en la vida diaria, integración laboral…
2. MISÓN, VISIÓN Y VALORES
Misión
Hacer posible que todas las personas con discapacidad intelectual de la Comunidad Valenciana puedan realizar la práctica deportiva de acuerdo a sus capacidades, ambiciones y retos como cualquier otra persona.
Visión
Queremos llegar a ser una entidad de referencia en el mundo del deporte por la labor que realizamos para difundir su práctica entre las personas con discapacidad intelectual

Como virtud por excelencia. Queremos que todos nuestras actuaciones se realicen siempre teniendo en cuenta todos los aspectos que debemos cuidar para que nuestro servicio sea acorde a las necesidades y expectativas de nuestros deportistas y organismos que confíen en nosotros para el desarrollo, tanto de formación como de eventos.
* Sociabilidad
Este valor es el camino para mejorar la capacidad de comunicación y de adaptación a los ambientes más diversos. Queremos actuar como vehículo para que los deportistas con discapacidad intelectual puedan desarrollar al máximo sus capacidades de comunicación ofreciéndoles la posibilidad de relacionarse con otras personas, en ambientes diferentes.

En el ámbito deportivo, queremos ofrecer todas las actividades que cubran las necesidades de nuestros deportistas, observando cuales son sus preferencias, adaptando y mejorando continuamente las actividades que ofrecemos.

Aceptar y comprender tal y como son los demás, aceptar y comprender su forma de pensar, aceptar y comprender que todos somos diferentes. Ser capaces de escuchar y entender sus necesidades y motivaciones.

Somos capaces de hacer lo que realmente deseamos y nosotros queremos ayudar a que las expectativas de nuestros deportistas se cumplan en el ámbito de la Federación.
3. NUESTROS BJETIVOS
Además de las actividades propias de gestión, administración, organización y reglamentación del deporte para personas con discapacidad intelectual en la Comunidad Valenciana la FEDI-CV se plantea los siguientes objetivos:
• Planificar, promover, dirigir, coordinar, organizar y encargarse de la tutela del deporte para personas con discapacidad intelectual en nuestro ámbito de actuación.
• Desarrollar y organizar programas deportivos, campeonatos y todo tipo de actividades deportivas de forma continuada a lo largo de todo el año.
• Cualificar y coordinar las competiciones deportivas oficiales en la Comunidad Valenciana.
• Potenciar y promover la cualificación técnica de profesionales del ámbito del deporte y de toda persona vinculada a los clubes y asociaciones deportivas adscritas a la Federación.
• Organizar y/o encargarse de la tutela de las competiciones dirigidas a personas con discapacidad intelectual de carácter internacional, nacional o entre Autonomías que pudieran disputarse en todo el ámbito territorial de la Comunidad Valenciana.
• Establecer y formalizar convenios de colaboración con entidades públicas, y organizaciones privadas, cuyos objetivos sean el desarrollo personal y la promoción de la integración social de la persona con discapacidad intelectual a través del deporte, así como la gestión de servicios, programas e infraestructuras que promuevan el deporte en la persona con discapacidad intelectual desde una óptica educativa.
• Abordar el deporte en la persona con discapacidad intelectual desde un planteamiento integral, coordinando programas multidisciplinares que aborden de forma profesional aspectos tales como: salud, desarrollo psicosocial e integración en la comunidad.

5. COLABORAR CON FEDI-CV
FEDI CV lleva muchos años fomentado y acercando el deporte a las personas con discapacidad intelectual y cada año las necesidades y exigencias se incrementan, tanto por el incremento de deportistas, como por el incremento en la participación de campeonatos, así como por la organización de eventos.
Por ese motivo, cuantos más apoyos obtengamos más objetivos podremos alcanzar.Toda organización que colabore con FEDI CV podrá disponer de:

1. Introduction
the VCSFMHP is a nonprofit organization whose objective is promote the sport's practice among the mentally handicaped people in the Valencian Community.
Our aim is to demonstrate the benefits which sport can bring; particularly for physical, emotional and social development.
The VCSFMHP is the only regional association recognized by the Generalitat Valenciana which works for the promotion of sports among the people with mental deficiencies. Our goals are focused on:
The autonomous organization of sporting events, national and international
The implementation of regional sports schools
Modernization of sports programs
Training of technicians
Sports conferences aimed at families of athletes.
To cover all our goals we need resources and support public and private entities to improve our services, to increase the number of trips, number of schools for our athletes and their participation in various sporting events
Besides, we must get that the society recognizes and values all this effort through its dissemination in the media.
We therefore take the opportunity offered by Caixa Galicia, who through the different calls for aid, has a very important and necessary for our athletes,
which is the possibility of having a federation own transport we facilitate movement to participate in all sporting events.
2. Who are we?
The VCSFMHP Valencian Community's Sports Federation of Mentally Handicaped People is a nonprofit organization which aims to promote and develop sport for people with mental disabilities in its territory.
It was created on the 22nd of July of 1998 and it is registered in the General Register of Federations with the number 56 of the 2nd section of the Generalitat Valenciana (Council of Valencia for Sports).
We believe physical activity and sport as a right that every citizen should have the opportunity to enjoy, regardless of their social, mental condition and any disability which may be affected may not seek to exercise this right.
Nowadays, the sport is practised among people with mental deficiencies, and it has not only achieved through providing benefits in terms of sport means such as improving their psychomotor skills and their physical conditions, but also their health, their self esteem, etc.
But it is also a way that these people with mental deficiencies will use in their diary routines, and as a result of it, they will get a better quality of life in areas such as social integration, increased autonomy in daily life, integration work ...

Enabling all people with mental deficienciesin the Valencian Community can practise sports according to their abilities, ambitions and challenges as any other person.

We want to become a referencial entity in the world of sports due to the work we do to promote its practise among people with intellectual disabilities.

As a virtue par excellence. We want all our actions are always carried out taking into account all aspects that we must care for our service is tailored to the needs and expectations of our athletes and organizations that trust us for development, both training and events.

This value is the way to improve communication skills and adaptability to different environments. We act as a vehicle for athletes with intellectual disabilities to realize their full communication capabilities providing the ability to relate to other people, in different environments.

In sport, we offer all the activities that meet the needs of our athletes, watching what their preferences, adapting and continuously improving the activities we offer.
- Respect and empathy.
Accept and understand as they are others, accept and understand their way of thinking, accept and understand that everyone is different. Being able to listen and understand their needs and motivations.

We are able to do what you really want and we want to help our athletes' expectations are met in the area of the Federation.
4. OUR OBJECTIVES
In addition to the activities of management, administration, organization and regulation of sport for people with mental deficiencies in the VCSFMHP has the following objectives:
• Plan, promote, direct, coordinate, organize and undertake the supervision of sport for people with mental deficiencies in our area.
• Develop and organize sports programs, tournaments and all kinds of sports activities on a continuous basis throughout the year.
• Qualify and coordinate official sports competitions in Valencia.
• Strengthen and promote technical expertise of professionals in the field of sport and every person involved in clubs and sports associations affiliated to the Federation.
• Organize and / or charged with the enforcement of competitions aimed at people with mental deficienciesat international, national or between autonomy that could be played in the whole territory of the Community of Valencia.
• Establish and formalize collaboration agreements with public entities and private organizations whose objectives are the promotion of personal development and social integration of people with mental deficienciesthrough sports, as well as managing services, programs and infrastructure promote the sport in the person with intellectual disabilities from an educational perspective.
• Addressing the sport in the person with intellectual disabilities from a comprehensive, coordinated multidisciplinary programs that address issues in a professional manner such as health, psychosocial development and integration into the community.

6. Contributing with the VCSFMHP
The VCSFMHP fostered for many years and bringing the sport to people with intellectual disabilities and each year the needs and demands increase, both by the increase in athletes, and the increase in the share of championships, as well as organizing events .
For this reason, the more support we get more goals we achieve. Any organization which wants to collaborate with the VCSFMHP will get:
1. A promotion of the company throughout the regional territory.
2. A promotion of the company throughout the national territory.
