I'm a Uruguayan Pharmaceutical Chemist and I have been working as a freelance translator (EN-ES) for regional and international pharmaceutical companies for the past 9 years. I started learning english from a very young age and got a posgraduate degree in translation in 2015 (Instituto Metodista Universitario Crandon, Uruguay). I strive to merge my passion for science with my knowledge of translation.
I provide scientifically accurate translations for the pharmaceutical industry and the regional research community. Most of my translation experience has been on pharmaceutical documents (CTDs, SmPCs, PILs and others), which are submitted to regulatory authorities in all of Latin America. I've also translated documents concerning clinical trials and medical instruments, as well as manuscripts on topics ranging from molecular biology, structural elucidation, immunology to sensory evaluation of foods.
Additionally, I have been part of a number of biomedical research projects and worked for the chemical and food industries. This background provides me with valuable insights when translating projects related to life-sciences or the industry.
I'm also a co-author of 4 scientific publications (links below) and remain in touch with the academic research community.
