Source text - English A copy of the record of marriage registration when properly certified by the city and town clerks or their duly authorized deputies, as herein provided, shall be prima facie evidence of the facts therein stated and in all actions, proceedings or applications, judicial, administrative or otherwise and any such certificate of registration of marriage shall be accepted with the same force and effect with respect to the facts therein stated as the original certificate of marriage or certified copy thereof.
The signature and seal of said clerk of cities of the first class of over one million inhabitants upon the marriage license, certificate of marriage, registration, and marriage search provided by this article may be a printed facsimile.
Translation - Spanish La copia del registro de inscripción de matrimonio debidamente certificada por los secretarios del pueblo y de la ciudad o los subsecretarios, debidamente autorizados según lo dispuesto en la presente ley, debe constituir una evidencia prima facie de los hechos indicados en dicho documento y en toda acción, procedimiento o solicitud judicial, administrativa o de cualquier otro tipo. Todo certificado de inscripción de matrimonio será aceptado con la misma validez que el certificado de matrimonio original o una copia certificada de dicho documento, con respecto a los hechos allí indicados.
En las ciudades de primera clase con más de un millón de habitantes, la firma y el sello de dicho secretario en las autorizaciones para contraer matrimonio, los certificados de matrimonio, inscripción y antecedentes maritales según lo dispuesto en esta sección, pueden estar impresos en facsímil.
