I am an Irish translator and archaeologist who has been living and working in Denmark since 2009.
Specialising in experimental archaeological research, I carried out both my MA and PhD research at the School of Archaeology, University College Dublin, where my work received both the John Hurst Memorial Award for best early medieval MA thesis and a Government of Ireland Postgraduate Scholarship from the Irish Research Council for the Humanities and Social Sciences.
Since relocating to Denmark, I have mastered the Danish language to an academic standard while working as a translator, independent researcher and heritage consultant. I specialise in Danish to English translation for Museums, academics and other cultural institutions, as my archaeological and historical background ensures an accurate, nuanced and technically correct translation of texts such as exhibition content, academic articles and podcasts, marketing and promotion of cultural institutions and large-scale book publications.
However, I welcome all types of texts, from academic material, literature and textbooks to marketing, communications and other small-scale texts.
