In cases where air is used for conveying or cooling, the participant must evaluate the risk of this becoming a vehicle for pathogens and take any necessary precau- tions.
Water and steam
The participant must be sure that the water or the steam which is used during the cleaning or in the production of the feed ingredients is safe for animals. The partici- pant must ensure that the feed ingredients are not contaminated by the use of wa- ter of poor quality.
Special attention must be paid to processing aids such as anti-corrosion agents.
Processing Aids and Technological Additives
The participant must ensure that the use of processing aids or (technological) addi- tives does not adversely affect the feed safety.
Packaging
The packaging of the feed ingredients must be suitable for the kind of feed and the chosen method of delivery or transport. The packaging must be designed for the protection of the feed ingredient during normal storage, treatment and delivery con- ditions.

Il partecipante deve assicurare che l'impiego di coadiuvanti o di additivi (tecnologici) non pregiudichi la sicurezza dei mangimi.
Confezionamento
Il confezionamento degli ingredienti destinati all'alimentazione animale deve essere adatto al tipo di mangime e al metodo di trasporto o consegna prescelto. Il confezionamento deve essere ideato per proteggere l'ingrediente per mangimi durante le condizioni normali di immagazzinaggio, trattamento e consegna.
