Greek to English: Signal processing tecniques for Cochlear Implants General field: Tech/Engineering
Translation - English This thesis deals with the study and description of Cochlear Implant (CI)devices through the creation and analysis of two computational models: one FEM (Finite Elements Method) model for the imaging and simulation of the electric field dispersion within the auditive cochlea, when stimulated by an electrode array and one for the automatic timbre recognition by combining an auditory nerve model with a Dynamic Time Warping tecnique algorithm. The simulation of the cochlea is realized in COMSOL Multiphysics FEM analysis software. The neural activity model as well as the timbre identifier was implemented in MATLAB.
